End of May/start of June @KajiKita. Slightly flexible as Mr PIP will have a few more days left on his current tenancy so we can be a *little* chill and allow for additional unforeseen bits to be done, and allow our family friends likewise! But we'd like to do the vast bulk in one day to make the most of the men and van but most importantly to prioritise at least having our bedroom largely how it will be layout-wise so the cat has one room to be in that won't be disconcertedly changing again3

It’s always helpful to have some overlap between last place and new place to allow time for cleaning the old place down for deposit recovery…. 😉

@KajiKita We've somewhat given up on getting any deposit back due to the cat preferring All The Carpet to her scratching posts 🙄😁 but we will at least make an attempt!1

Today's doings:
Admin tidying
Laundry
50 minute walk including small electrics recycling then clearing a few little bits with recently bereaved family friend
Survey
Had an extra £24.15 in paypal when I moved the coop mission money so thought I may as well take that out too as there are too many pots wanting money and no income happening.
So have sent £10 to mum birthday pot, £10 to my account to eke out the rest of the month's budget, £3 to LISA pot and £1.15 to flat pot
Comping. They have not sorted their sites out.
Bits and bobs off the to-do list
10 minute walk getting the free paper for the crossword
Half wussy situps
Mum is away and Mr PIP is back over his, so I might have a wild bacchanalian friday night. Or watch Martin Lewis on Have I Got News For You

Great you have a key.
I just remembered something from the first round of planning here that might be helpful. I wanted to put in a riding arena and I expected objections from the neighbours at the time. The planning consultant told me I HAD to get the local councillors to pop around for tea and biscuits so they knew the plans and were "informed". Cake I recall was seen as a unnecessary and could have been construed as a bribe. So I did what he said and one local councillor came and was lovely and spoke to planning informally which I think helped.
Many years later when I ran into trouble with the council over the ex's non payment of council tax I rang her and she popped around (although I kept her outside due to worries about the ex and listening devices) and explained why I was not liable and once again she intervened on my behalf.
I understand paid officers dislike councillors coming in and "asking" about matters but they will do anything to help them leave the office with a resolution.
Maybe invite your local one over to discuss planning?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
Thanks @Watty1, I shall see what can be done!1

Well while Mr PIP has been lugging moving stuff around London today, I have had the most enjoyably lazy day in recent memory.
It was all drizzly and I didn't have to think of anyone but myself, so I didn't

Won a packet of biscuits! (Well technically mum has as it was her purchase I used to enter)
25 plus 4 minute walk getting essentials (okay, mainly wine) in from Aldi and watering family friends plants. Picked up the biscuits and did a one minute carpet walk to round it up
Receipt survey
Cleaning aphids off one of mum's plants
Did some jigsaw! I'm half an hour's worth of wholesome!
That is literally it. I'm now going to spend the evening expending the same level of energy with book and wine and leftover cauliflower cheese
Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow raring to go as the list of things is rather long, and even longer now, but if I don't then I'll do much the same as today. Doing nothing's lovely isn't it, I must try to fit in doing nothing more often
Cheers gang 🥂 Hope everyone has the Saturday evening they require x

Glad to hear the comping fairies are finally flying in - I suggest you keep a list of prizes - in a note book or a Goggle or excel sheet - its very motivating - I also add the cost of it even if I wouldnt have bought it. That way I have a running total of winnings -
Sorry re the house build situation - have you thought about buying a camper van to live in on your land? You could buy an old cheap one and sell it when you are done? Would save a lot in rent..
Glad you had a lazy day as I did
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
