    Laundry got dun

30 minute walk, friend's plants watered, got a few more bottles of the £5.99 reduced to £3.49 wine

Resisted going to meet Mr PIP and a best friend for a post work drink which is a shame but can't justify paying peak fares for a quick beer at the moment

    Hoovered flat

All the bits and bobs things off today's to-do list

    Half wussy situps

    15 minute carpet walk

    Cleaned bathroom

    Comping

    20 minute carpet walk

Rather ran out of energy so stuffed my face with biscuits

Sorted out the cupboard of potential sales items, put together a bag for charity shop, put a few listings on Olio Sale section

Will try to muster the energy for a 20 minute carpet walk shortly

Dinner, when Mr PIP gets back, is leftover cupboard sauce with extra onion, with pasta and cheese and salad leaves on the side
  • May Aims

This may look rather similar to April's MSE list 😁
Everything feels so busy at the moment and has not been helped by joints being particularly bad for a large part of the month, and I think despite it sounding counterintuitive, because there's so little work around I try to do everything and feel in a bit of a tizz, whereas if I know there's some money coming in I don't feel so shoddy letting minor things slide.

Overall, move house at the end of the month without losing the plot, and while some spending will occur, make sure not to go 'b*gger it' because of tiredness/busyness

    Before then:

Mum birthday: would be good to get as much as possible of another £50-£60 quid in the pot for a meal out

Allocation of tax pot money when it becomes available

Set date for my LPAs signing.  Do they not understand how difficult it is for five/six adults to be in the same place at the same time?!
Print in advance, make signing order list that I vaguely understand unlike the one in their guidance. Get acceptable evidence to request discount on fees

    Big Jobs:
Switch my phone to Mr PIP's old phone
    Wipe and sell iPad
Learn how to sew a button back onto my coat
Research selling a fancy bottle of wine Mr PIP has, and if it seems too stressful, drink it

    Do any Vinteds
    Do any Ziffits
    Do any ebays

Try to fit in and save towards dental hygienist appointment before moving as it's near Mr PIPs

Any unlikely spare money to LISA/flat pot

Do NOT get too behind on steps and end the month pacing the carpet like a grumpy tiger for days 😁

Going to be a bit of a pricey month with mum's birthday, hygienist, and moving matters.
So main MSE focus is saving any money for those and getting any sales especially ebays done before we move

Just catching up on the boards.   Good luck with the May plans.

Re the caravan idea, I thought I would hate it but went to look at some small static vans during my relationship ending troubles and loved them. i was surprised at that but they were great and the even more surprising thing to me was that the agent would buy them back for around half the purchase price.  I was thinking of one to save rent. In the end I didn't do it but it did focus my mind on how I would be happy living.   Maybe don't write off until you have explored the idea?    Also you will not have intentionally made yourself homeless so if you approach the council and say you are about to be made homeless at the end of the 2 years, then put yourself on the housing list, evicting you from your caravan is harder.  The only caution is that putting a caravan on land you own upsets planners - a lot - and makes it less likely they will approve plans (but then they are hardly falling over themselves to do just that  so you might consider that a risk worth taking).

    Happy new month all!

Well the main news today is Mr PIP and I took ourselves by surprise and went and played badminton in the park this morning.
I say 'played', we do a gentle rally but I'm still feeling smug despite us being fairly rubbish- it's still exercise going to retrieve the shuttlecock 😁

It might be heavy going, but I look forward to hearing what you think 😅 The world of work certainly suppresses debate to a certain extent…think outside the box, but not too far outside 😅
