Between period exhaustion and gale force winds (the weather, not me) there hasn't been much temptation to get steps in or push myself productive-wise, but some small things have been done:

Sold an item and put £10 in flat pot

Collected some Olio rolls and potatoes (from three minutes away), and picked up a packaging bag on the street I can use for V!nted

Worked on a job throughout the day

Had a bit of a panic on looking at my £50 voucher and seeing it had to be redeemed by Sept 24- fortunately I figured out that meant next year, not next week. I am not at my most intellectually sparkling atm 🙄😂

Watched a free lecture online which was interesting

Got some steps going to Aldo, where I felt a bit guilty for spending £1.09 on some own brand chocolate but I think I'll manage to get over it. Budget is looking a bit tight but not dreadful for the rest of the month but will be fine if this client who owes me for two jobs from two months ago pays me. Dear reader, they did _not_ pay on Monday as promised (by the way, is there a guide to how to put italics, bold etc on here? I've looked but can't find anything)

Found two McDonald's monopoly tokens, one of which was a station to keep my many Fenchurch Street stations company. I'm fairly sure I must own actual Fenchurch Street Station by now

That little lot has taken up all my meagre energy so this evening is some comforting leftovers, some comforting red wine, some comforting chocolate, and some comforting reading

Hope all your weeks' (week's? weeks?) are progressing well and no-one's been blown so far away by the wind they have to pay for a cab back x
When you type your reply at the top of the comment box there are various things to use.  The B is for Bold and I is for Italic.  Just click in the B or I (depending on what you want to use, you can even use both if you want Bold and Italics!) before you type.  When you finish the bit you want in Bold or Italic press the button again.

  • @lucielle glad to share my wisdom 😁

@joedenise so there is. That's... glaringly obvious now. I am an actual idiot. Thank you very much for pointing out the quite blatant formatting options that are right in front of me 😂 😭
  • There is also another option for bold etc if typing on an actual computer keyboard rather than a tablet or phone. highlight the text in question, then use CTRL+B for bold, +I for italics or +U for underline. That also gives you one more option than the standard forum options these days - and let's be honest, sometimes underlining something for emphasis is the easiest way!

  • Seriously cannot wait for my period to end, tiiiired (and sore, and grumpy)

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a Molton Brown bundle

Did some reading in an attempt to add to the zffit pile but unfortunately/fortunately I'm enjoying all the books I've currently got on the go

Got paid £13.40 from Topcashback so thats gone in the flat pot

Finally got paid by client, finally remembered to put money in tax pot

Picked up a bath mat and sofa throw from Olio

Going to have a post work pint with Mr PIP and discuss our financial investment strategy (look at a lottery ticket) then go to Liddle to get cheapo dinner

Absolutely chucking it down here, good thing I've got the sofa throw in my bag in case I get chilly!

  • Morning moneysavers, I was woken up with terrible period pains just after 6am so have already done a job for a client, done a load of laundry, updated my Vinteds and sold an item. Is it time for bed yet?! Hope you all have productive and pain-free Thursdays x
  • Ouch to an early awakening but at least you can take a little comfort from ensuing productiveness I guess.

A Molton Brown bundle would be a lovely thing to win wouldn't it - I LOVE their products, but justifying the price is another thing entirely!

  • The rest of the very, very tired day:

Went out to post the vinted sale, decided to get some extra steps while out and not being rained on- was rewarded with two McMo tokens, and spent the last half a street of my walk moving snails out of the way of the council street cleaning van 😂 For that I got rewarded 5p, thank you snails 😁

Mr PIP went for a lunchtime walk to post another vinted parcel and found two more McMo tokens
I'm a bit nervous about this vinted sale as it's a gorgeous unique vintage dress but being *at least* 70 years old, has a few issues, as one would expect. I've been honest about them though so hopefully all will be fine

Did a bit of reading in lieu of being able to doze- started Go Set a Watchman which I'd been avoiding because it was one of those must-read books so it felt a bit like homework, but I am really enjoying it. Damn you good books foiling my ziffit list 😁

I've decided that since there's only a week and a bit left of this month, I'll try to keep the budget tight and not add that overdue client pay, so the pay money can cover doing our Lasting Power of Attorneys next month.
It's been making me back-of-the-brain anxious not having them and feeling like it's a pot to save towards- being able to help and being able to be helped if loved ones or oneself gets ill or is in an accident is surely the main reason to be financially secure, so it's worth paying under a couple of hundred pounds each to get that legal necessity in place for life. Touching wood none of us need it but we'll be bloody glad of it if we do
