You wont get a reply, or any other acknowledgement than you received already 

You can expect an email from DCB legal with the N279 discontinuation document in due course,  in your inbox or spam folder, typically before the hearing fee is due,  same as the other 620 or so in the discontinuations thread by Umkomaas

Yep please show us the NoD so it can be counted, when it comes. Have they failed to send a WS?

I will do. yes they have failed to send a WS. Also they've just emailed again saying thier client would accept £40 to settle now. Desperate much!

Great! They've possibly already discontinued the claim. Ask the local court and if I'm right, get the court clerk to confirm by email the date of the NoD.

It would be highly unreasonable to discontinue with a court but deliberately not cc in the Defendant ... but still demand money from the Defendant...

I would LOVE it if you could get written evidence from the court that proves this suspicion...then report DCB Legal to the SRA & show us and the MHCLG your evidence.

I called the court today, the case hasn't been discontinued, but they also haven't paid the fee yet, so I imagine they are not going to or discontinue at the last minute

I'd email the solicitors now, telling them you know they failed to pay the hearing fee so you are about to submit a 3 figure costs assessment (due to their wholly unreasonable conduct and abuse of the court process) unless they cough up a NoD this week.

Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background. 

However, people like you have lived & breathed the intimidation, greed and unfairness first hand so your voice is needed!
