Morning all - and belated Happy Birthday to MrN. That home-made/home-grown celebratory meal sounds delicious. The only thing that's growing really well in my garden atm is the grass!
Like Jazee, I am keeping on top of the basics. K came again here again yesterday morning, but not to clean. Instead we managed to make more progress with her passport renewal problem. The Manchester Consulate was very helpful and actually managed to respond to two emailed questions within half an hour of K sending them3 hours later, K left to collect the girls from their holiday club - by which time I was exhausted! I then took my friend L out for a healthy light lunch to celebrate the progress she's made since her heart op 4 weeks ago - it's great to see her looking so much better.
This morning I have to wait in for a phonecall from the GP (presumably about my blood test results), so will tidy round and do admin, and then I need to go to Action Heart. Now that I've reduced my hours there, it was great to have more time to ourselves on Wednesday, but I missed the exercise routine and mustn't allow myself to relapse into couch potato mode. Later this afternoon I want to pick more blackberries from the lane, as nobody else seems to be taking them. During the lockdown summer there were lots of pickers and hardly a ripe fruit to be found, but now people seem to have forgotten about the free bounty on their doorsteps.
GWS pigpen (you are a whirlwind when it comes to online sales!) and extra coping vibes to asb and Fayolle, as needed xxx
Hope everyone has a good day and good reason to look forward to the weekend xxx

Hallooooo from a soggy Roundtuit. Now, as a general rule, I accept whatever weather comes around with equanimity (except twot when I can moan for England) but even I said 'Not again' when I opened the curtains onto a rainy morning. Heyho. Makes me grateful for the roof over my head.
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, and I'm having my first brew. While the kettle was boiling I tore up a cardboard box for recycling.
Happy Birthday for yesterday to Squeak xx
Love to all

Morning,
Belated happy birthday to Squeak!
Guess what - it’s raining in the south west too. On the one hand, I heard the rain on the window and thought, well, that makes the allotment decision easier. On the other hand…not again. I’m also glad that I have a roof over my head and don't have to leave the house today if I don’t want to. DD suggested going out for coffee this morning. I’m knocking that idea on the head when she surfaces.Feeling shattered today. A combination of a busy, stressful week at work, being a regular participant in the WAC, resorting to half a sleeping tablet last night but inadvertently setting my alarm for 6.30am, and having a cold that has suddenly materialised. This morning I have WULTD the things from last night (broke my own cardinal rule about not leaving dirty plates around and watched Mamma Mia with DD instead) and done QHI. Ironing pile is still toppling but it is all DH’s stuff so I am leaving it. He will soon realise why I don’t iron hardly anything of mine. This might be the sum total of my flying today.
I need to decide on something for dinner and maybe exert myself to sorting out some plants in the gh later.
Have a lovely day all x5 -

Hello all. Happy belated birthday to squeak.
Today, I have done admin, dailies, two wash loads which are now on airers, popped to local shop, popped out to collect an item, walked Poppet, bathed a muddy Poppet. Went swimming with the family, had a tasteless lunch out and have spent the early afternoon playing with DGD1. Now putting my feet up.
Rain, rain go away.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Ahh lovely picture Pigpen, hope she had a good birthday.
Yes, tis wet here too - again. And chilly too. Have been out for a short walk during a dry spell, dusted and hoovered upstairs, removed mouldy marks from the seal around the bath, put all the clean laundry away and did a little ironing. Oh and finished the book I was ready.
This afternoon we had a surprise visit from DS2, who came home for a friends birthday yesterday and decided to stay the night with us tonight, although he is very hungover so not very communicative. He has had a bath and mainly slept. No idea when he is heading back to the big city but its always lovely to have him home.
Its getting dark out. DH is watching a film and I cant seem to settle to anything. Might see if there is a podcast to listen to.

Morning all. The sun is shining!
There could be time this morning for flying but DH is still in bed so I'm going to read my book until he gets up.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Good morning all,
The sun is shining here too! Cobwebs galore, it appears, in the LR. Ah well.DH is dismantling a bit more of the kitchen. Given that he thought 7.20am was a good time to start the noisy job of taking out the oven, he will be very glad that he is taking DD to the stables this morning. The further away from me the better atm, given that he has all of next week at home to do this job… I plan to be incredibly noisy getting up for work tomorrow morning. At 6.30am 😈.
DD due to do a long drive to her friend’s house later, as they are off on their holibobs tomorrow. I will be on tenterhooks until she gets there safely.
I didn’t get into the gh yesterday, so that is on the plan for today, along with some vacuum cleaning (maybe) and a visit to rotting veg at the allotment (enthusiasm needed). Meal planning needed, now that the oven has gone a few days earlier than expected, and the hob gets disconnected on Tuesday.
Have a lovely day all, hoping the sun is shining where you are x4 -
Hallooooo xx
Blue sky here and a light breeze with sunshine. Is my washing out? Nope. It's still in the laundry hamper. Naughty flylady.
Yesterday took on a life of its own and turned into a peopling day. I finally ate my lunch at 8pm. I made my bed and fed the birds. And peopled. That's all.
So today I must get my head (or some other anatomical part) in gear and DO something or next week will be difficult. At the very least I need clean clothes to wear, and food to eat at lunchtimes. And there are two family birthdays that I don't want to be last-minuting for.
So. Brew 2. Breakfast. And HH Admin are first on the agenda. If I have a list it won't feel like I'm trying to herd cats and stand a chance of unspaghetti--ing my brain.
Love to all.
