wooty wooty woot woot for the timer ASB
DW x1
paid stuff today, it’s the month end so it’s financial stuff
I have been a naughty Valli and started another knitting project, though the cot blanket needs sewing up still, and the yellow cardi needs its button bands. This time i’m using 9 and 10mm needles (thanks mumtomany ) and i’m not sure i like them. but it grows fast so that’s something to be glad about.
Wishing you all a good day.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Well done asb xx
Glad your results are clear, Valli xx
After clearing the draining board earlier (DH WULTD last night) I took out the recycling and washed out the kitchen bins. And I have texted DS2 and also written a long email to my eldest goddaughter - she was 40 on Saturday, eek! (I did remember to send her a card and gift.) Just received a reply from DS2 so have texted him back and added another date to the diary. Now I must check finances and our diary for this week, and also print out another form for K.
Onwards and upwards, Flyfriends! xxx8 -

Showered and dressed and was out of the house with doogie for a walk prior to the time I would normally have to leave going forward. 45 minute walk so she is well settled and sleepy now.
Second cuppa sank and am 80% of the way through the month's meal planning trying to use up stuff from the freezers to keep this months costs down. Just typing that up to put on the fridge so everyone knows the plans.
DH is up and finishing his breakfast. DD I've woken twice, once to ask if she is going into the office today (No) and secondly at 9am when she wasn't up for work; she's on holiday today. Why didn't she tell me that the first time!
Flying from list will start once finished meal planMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
Round 1
Get dressed ✅
Feed the birds ✅
Put out the recycling ✅
WUDUPA - soaking
Clear the airer ✅
Put away the airer ✅
Several items on the airer had been laundered after retrieval from Cupboard of Doom:
Red scarf & gloves put in drawer ready for use this winter
Cricket pullover and patterned gloves put in CS donations bag.
Pots should have soaked enough now methinks.
Is it warm or is it me? Muggy warm 🥵

Very relieved for your results Valli.. long may it continue.Dot dropped off, Gassy men digging up the street. Wet load hung up on the airer since I had to dash and let Polly in out of the rain. Poor old lass got about 6 drips on her! She is not impressed!Logged in waiting for Twinkles dietician appointment to waste some time.. what are they actually going to tell me that I haven't been doing for the last 2 months without their input? Surely 'don't eat gluten containing foods' is a simple case of reading a label, it isnt hard!. Seeing the gastroenteroloist last summer might have been more use rather than leaving her for over a year in pain and poorly. ~ As suspected it was a waste of time.
OH is back at work today after 7 weeks off... this is going to be messy..
I have dot to pick up at 3:35 and Squeak to pick up at 4.. in opposite directions.. Fun times!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
... creeping back in to find the Forums have once again been revamped, which is unsettling ....Congratulations on the boob-squashing result Valli. The house isn't quite a squalid tip but I really must dust because that hasn't been done since before I broke my ankle. Today is a catching up day so I might flick one around and definitely will do a lot of tiding, plus trying to get a lot of dog towels dry after unfortunate incidents late last night and the middle of the night.I'm absolutely not thinking about Christmas yet - my sights are set on walking Hadrian's Wall in September and getting fit enough to do that. (I have two blisters on my right foot to attest to the training so far. Tomorrow's walk should be only 4.5 miles which shouldn't make them any worse.) We do less and less for Christmas now each year and I rather like it but it centres on getting a turkey from the farm and inviting all the people we know who would otherwise spend it on their own.Better is good enough.8

Welcome back Honey_Bear - I was just thinking I ought to phone you to ask how the training is going. Don't get lost in a cloud of dust today!
DH has gone out for a liquid lunch (coffee and soup) with a wargames friend. I have peace for half an hour until I have to go out too - must hoover and mop the kitchen as per my commitment. Rosie is fast asleep right now but will doubtless be wide awake within a nanosecond of the dog walker pulling up outside the back gate, whenever that happens.
I have decluttered my head of all sorts of gubbins by writing it down. The list is not very long yet but I keep adding to it.7 -
Alas it isn't warm here Round, in fact we have lit the stove in the kitchen!!
So far, I have:
- Taken DS to sports camp
- Spent 1.5 hours in work
- Bought a few bits of food and some cleaning products
- Cooked lunch of eggy bread for me and DD
- Sanded down a shoe bench that I really need to actually paint. I am going to head out now and do half an hour of painting. DD is happy watching TV and I am SICK of looking at the ruddy bench. Cuppa and a slice of Mars Bar cake as my reward after I think.
Off I go....9 -
Hello again.
I got some finances updated while DGD2 slept in. Since she got up she's been fed several times, had a bat, walked Poppet and done lots of playing, mainly outside. She's just gone down for a nap so I've put the outside toys away as more rain is forecast and am having my lunch in peace. Will update calendar for August shortly and see what other flying I can fit in before she wakes.Spend less now, work less later.8
