I think a defence that is a couple of paragraphs long (one page at most) is sufficient in the most straight forward of cases)
Think of it like sifting through a cv. Straight forward and to the point. Two much extra detail and they move on to the next candidate

They would say that, wouldn't they, so a judge may say. "so what. ?"

Just make sure that your WS + Exhibits bundle has been sent to the local court and to their lawyers ( or claimant if no lawyers were used. ) before the deadline imposed upon you by the court order you received, the order with the hearing date on it
What's the WS + Exhibits bundle it's the first time I'm hearing that thanks

I haven't received a court order through the post yet. Should I ring the CQC to check this

I doubt the Care Quality Commission would care - despite their name!

You should be studying other threads, like this one for example

The newbies sticky thread in announcements also has a section on the next stages too

You need to read the NEWBIES thread second post again, if you were not ready for WS stage.

This is a major error if you have a hearing date but haven't done your WS bundle in time.  The NEWBIES thread coaches everyone about what happens when, so it is disappointing to read that you are not prepared and have not read about this normal part of the process.
It's disappointing to me that you didn't read the part where i said i didn't receive a court order through as then you would understand why a witness statement hasn't been prepared but hey it seems like you've been on my case since the start of this whole thing. You can help someone out without being patronizing dude and you might feel better about it.

The court has given you a hearing date in October 2024, (as per your comment on 3rd August), and that order should have included a date for your WS.

I deleted my post as there was no intention to cause offence.  I'm sorry if my encouragement of newbies to focus on the next thing was taken as patronising or being 'on your case'. We regulars are pedantic here but we want to help. It's why we come here.

I was genuinely concerned your case was in danger of going pear-shaped if you were not prepared for the next stage, having been signposted in May to read the relevant part IMPORTANT: 'Know what happens when' which covers WS and evidence stage.

I'm a lady BTW but let's get your defence of two claims back on track.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This wasn't from the court it was from BWLegal alongside with 50 pages of whatever it was they sent me. I haven't received anything from the court regarding a hearing date at all until now. BW Legal have also sent me another confirmation that the hearing date is on the 15th Oct and offered me 25% discount
