    House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

    Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

    Oh no :(  Hope you stay.  I enjoy your musings and the other posters on this thread. It's the first I look at for updates. You and some on the pensions board were really helpful when I gave our numbers which aren't huge. I have decided to pull the trigger this year and retire fully when my OH gets his state pension.  He said I had better look after him and keep him fit and well lol. 67 working days to go! Wishing you a safe trip and enjoy beautiful Shropshire :)

    It can be disheartening for some when they read about others who have savings and investments of tens or of hundreds of thousands, when they are trying to make the most of more limited resources. I must admit I have felt inadequate on occasion but most of the time do count my blessings...

    If you've felt inadequate then I'm definitely one of the poor church mice! Sometimes those posters don't seem to understand that some folk haven't been with one company or in one career area for all their working life 😉
