  • Hi Baron, not sure if you participate in this sort of thing but mse has lots of free cash offers at the mo.

Eg quidco which i just used to renew car insurance with £45 back and also an introductory £30 back if spending £5. Also wealthify - if you've got an account you can see if a family member or friend will invest £250 for 3 months. If so you each get £50.

I'm now at about £600 for the year to date all told and it's taken me about 2-3 hours max.
Many thanks for the information but not really interested in pursuing these. I am happy enough doing a few surveys now and again. Take care.

    Hi Baron,
Thanks for the round up, it’s interesting to see how your finances are working out. Your £1200 current account balance is very consistent.

    when is your surgery?

  • I always aim to have £1200 in my bank account on the last day of the month. The larger DDs leave the account before my occupational pension is paid in on the 14th of the month.
My surgery is next Tuesday!   :#
  • I also find it interesting to see how others budgets & finances are worked out. Good luck for the surgery hope all goes well

just reading this thread after returning from a 2 wk cruise with my Brother and Sister. Unfortunately, he was unwell with a bad chest for most of it.Tomorrow I will benefit from my first Monday off now I have gone 4 days at school. I haven't had a new contract yet, but with paying less pension, tax, NI and being due a pay rise I shouldn't feel too much of a difference
