I’ve received a reply from Fountain Park (where the parking space is located). Not overall 100% positive. Was hoping for better. But at least they’ve responded and will chase it up.“Dear ……….Thank you for contacting us, we appreciate this is a frustrating incident, especially when you spent your leisure time on site.We do not employ UKPC and they are a separate company that operate in the area - however - we can contact them on your behalf to see what actions can be taken in this case.We will be in touch once we have an update.”1

Looks like hopefully I’ve had some success through contacting Fountain Park directly. I got a response from them which went as follows:
Dear…….We have contacted UKPC on your behalf and they have agreed to cancel the ticket. We hope that this goes some way to restoring your confidence in Fountain Park, and that the incident doesn't deter you from visiting in the future.
Let’s now see if I receive any further communications from UKPC…4 -

Let’s now see if I receive any further communications from UKPC…I wouldn't hold your breath on receiving anything from UKPC, they are not John Lewis or Marks and Spencer. They really only communicate when there is the possibility of someone paying them money, as you definitely won't be doing that thanks to the Fountain Park intervention, UKPC won't waste another penny in writing to you. However, if you want to check that the PCN has been cancelled, login to the UKPC website as if you were about to pay the PCN, and you should be able to see its current status. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

that’s that’s a good shout, thanks.
I’ll let it be until tomorrow night and then check while I’m updating my spreadsheets etc (Wed night is budget spreadsheet night). That should give a reasonable time for it to show cancelled hopefully.1 -

Please could you post about this, what you put in your complaint and who to contact, in the SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS thread, to help others at Fountain Park in future?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Can do yeah, once i find this. I'll do it tomorrow night when i have the time (and once i've actually confirmed that my case is exhibiting the status "closed" or something similar).
Admittedly, I sent them the email (more or less) which i put up earlier in the thread (despite it being a bit long - i really like to hammer something in rather than gloss over all my thoughts for a shorter impact)0 -
Very well done - and your success should be posted here:-"... while I’m updating my spreadsheets etc (Wed night is budget spreadsheet night). - a person after my own heart (I like to be in control also) so my monthly spreadsheet completed yesterday (and my spreadsheet still says 22-8 = 14 lol)1
