Aha!  I've just been reading that members of BPA are supposed to wait at least 28 days before issuing final notices.  If they don't then they're breaking the BPA rules; which means I now have grounds to complain to BPA through citizens advise or other about UKPC with my supporting evidence (photos of the received parking charges).  Anyone else ever done this?  Any opinion on this manoeuvre?
I wouldn't bother - and certainly don't ask the CAB for advice; they are hopeless on private parking.

What is the timeline from PCN or NTK to the document called 'Final notice'?

Received my first letter from UKPC on Saturday 22nd but didn’t open it until Sunday 23rd, so didn’t know what it was until the 23rd.

    letter was dated 8th July.

appealed on the evening of the 23rd.

received final notice yesterday (28th) and this letter is dated 22nd July.

But if you've appealed, a reminder letter is something & nothing. Ignore it.

And in the meantime please read this for the latest on the DLUHC's statutory Code of Practice:

We need everyone here in August taking part. This is drivers' and keepers' only chance to provide your evidence to the DLUHC to get the new Code of Practice and lower parking charge levels over the line for 2024.

Ah but, the final reminder was sent out the day before I appealed.  It was sent out the day the first letter arrived through my door.  So I didn’t even know the final reminder had been sent out at the point I appealed…

But it merely crossed in the post.

But you’re missing the point.  They sent the final notice within 14 days and without even waiting for me to appeal.  This breaches the BPA rules.

surely that’s worth something as an additional argument on my side of the court?

Ah but, what action do you propose?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

well, nothing different, except now I also have that on my side in a heads up competition of argument against them if it goes the distance.  They’ve broken one of the BPA rules, which gives me more power to claim harassment.

"Received my first letter from UKPC...............letter was dated 8th July.

    Is that not 14 days?

    You appealed on 23rd July?

I think you need to revisit maths school.

    22-8 = 14

first letter received on the same day my final reminder was being posted by them.  Yes, I didn’t open my first letter from them until the 23rd; 1 day after the final reminder was sent out by them.  It had the 8th as the date on it.  Just as the final reminder had the 22nd as the date on it.

    im not getting your point…?

even if you want to quibble on the technicalities of whether it was 14 days, or 13.5 days or even 13 days when you allow for whatever time of the day the letters were generated, you must still be able to see that from even the time of the “offence”, until even today (30th) it’s still not yet been 28 days since the offence, and they’ve already sent out my final reminder.
