I closed the account into an existing YBS account, then transferred from there into an external account. Today 6083 has landed into my external account. On checking YBS it seems the figures have all been fudged to make it look like that was the amount I transferred in the first place! Clearly not right though.0

I was due about £183 in interest (in addition to the £6k total) when I closed the account after maturity but only received about £24 because Yorkshire deducted ~£159 before the transfer. I assume this is a similar error by Yorkshire as described by others in this thread. I have sent them a secure message to query it.

whilst I am not affected by those deductions, and always had good service from YBS, I think it is alarming that so many people get erroneous deductions. Makes me think twice now whether to use them in future. I hope everyone affected gets compensation for having to chase corrections for those errors.

I opened on the 20 Jul and got the mail and interest showing on the 19th so closed the account and transferred out. The interest was £1.10 less that that shown in the transaction list, and I assumed that was a penalty for not waiting to the 20th, and not wanting another account opened just to be closed etc etc. Since it was only a quid in 184 I was not bothered to do anything, if it was 20 pounds I would be annoyed.0

I transferred most of the money to other ybs saving account and not close the account.
No issue.0 -
I've just made a posting on the Online Rainy Day Saver thread about YBS making a deduction - and not paying closing interest:

Like many, my Loyalty Regular Saver matured on the 19th with interest added. I transferred most to another account with YBS yesterday then closed the account sending £965 to my current account. It arrived today minus a £57 adjustment. Guess I'm calling YBS tomorrow. The situation is not helped by withdrawals taking a day to arrive and show up on transactions, plus old accounts not being visible on the app. It's only by chance that I realised some money was missing.

@mrsplinter Is the adjustment actually shown as a £57 debit in the maturity (6 access or whatever) account?
Just wondering where to look to see if I'm getting the same.

The above screenshot is from the 6 access saver that I closed, the ‘adjustment’ is the money taken in error. Despite it saying further details tomorrow, nothing else has appeared.1
