I need to sort everyones clothes, decide what is needed for September, move the wardrobe upstairs which means moving a chest of drawers off the landing in to the girls room which I need to tidy space in. My room is a bear pit.. the loo is leaking when flushed (clean water so not too dreadful.. but it is trashing another area in my kitchen ceiling)We need cat litter and biscuitsTwinkle wants to go to the park..We need to finish DD1's garden.I have a parcel to take back to a shop in town.. I might do that on Monday actually when I need t pick up the girls from dance summer school..I am considering bundling V!nted clothes into sizes and selling by the bag.. just to clear some space before my house collapses under the weight!

Good morning all. Hope you are all well.
@Asparklierblonde, so sorry you are having to tolerate badly judged comments, on top of all your other struggles.
@pigpen, lovely photos. Having looked at them yesterday evening, i then had a strange dream. Might make you all giggle so here goes. Having gone out for a walk i got lost. I happened upon your house @pigpen. You invited me in. All your children/grandchildren were there, wearing home knitted Christmas jumpers. They were busy putting up the tree and hanging stockings. You made me a cup of tea, and we had jammy dodgers and custard creams. Then a letter arrived saying you needed to pay thousands of pounds, to renew the lease on your house. You were not happy! "I'll sort this, come on", you said. We walked through a beautiful park with many fountains and arrived at the Houses of Parliament. You marched in and went to the cabinet office. The PM, an elderly thin man rather than the present incumbent, and the rest of the cabinet were sitting around in swimwear. You showed him the letter and demanded that it be sorted. "OK, Piggy," he replied. "Don't you dare call me Piggy, I'm piggers to my friends, you, on the other hand, may address me as Mrs Pigpen!!". Then I woke up. Who knew that you lived within walking distance of both London and South Wales.
Not much flying done here again this week. We have cleared out all the gutters and fixed one. Replaced and reinforced part of the barn roof. And done a bit more to get the camper fixed and on the road. I also wrote a rather long ranting letter to Royal London. OH should have been paid two pensions from the start of the year, the first payment hit the bank last Friday!
Lots of weeding, watering and harvesting done. Much time spent fighting off horse flies and wasps. Must fly tomorrow, sister and her OH arriving Wednesday from Os.
Hugs to all, see you all on the new thread, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.7 -
Your dream trumps mine from last night, mumtoomany! Mine was just sinister, and no Piggers in sight! I did throw my car keys into a smelly pond at some point, not sure why.
This morning has been spent packing away another cupboard or 2 in the kitchen. It’s ok, DH was supervising…😡. HHI done, various bits sorted from the fridge, bare bones of a meal plan done but who is in or not keeps changing. This afternoon needs to be some admin, pick some lettuce between the rain showers for my lunches in the week. Also need to make the last birthday card to go with the 3 that I turned out yesterday afternoon, when I had a self indulgent afternoon with the excuse that I could catch up today with the admin, and weather was stopping outdoor play.6 -
@mumtoomany ,,, I am most honoured.. and I am omnipotent and wear 10 league boots so it's a mere stride to anywhere.. lol.Litter and biscuits purchased..geeks fed.my chest hurts too much to think about what needs doing so it can all wait until tomorrow.. it's not going anywhere and hopefully I will feel less bleurgh tomorrow..I have a hydrangea for DD1 and 3 little plants for Jazzles (all reduced becuse I am a cheapskate) and some bits for our holibobs.A bug house for Pixies birthday and some bid cheese for her feeders.. and some wash beads..
Someone has run the DW.... I might kick everyone out and keep DD2 and gf.. they appear housetrained.

Took Doogie on an extended walk as it remained dry. WM and TD X 1. Clothes folded and will go upstairs next time I go up. Sorted a massive pile of paperwork some of which went back 3 years and so some binned, some filed in the other office. Found a letter stating how much tax I paid on a PPI claim so might see if I can get that back. Big freezer and dining room Fridge/freezer both sorted. Embarrassed to say I threw out a whole drawer load of veggie food that was in there from when I got it for next to nothing. I tried cooking a burger last week and it was like cardboard so despite frozen, it was was all past its bb date so has been binned. Space for DH to fill with bargains no doubt. A list has been made of the contents so that I can work the meal plan for next month from the contents without too much additional cost.
I love your dream Mumtoomany 😂Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!5 -

ASB !!!!!!…’friends’…
you may remember i told you the vallikids paternal grandmother (now there’s a misnomer if ever I heard one) was ill?. Well it turns out she died, reading between the lines probably a week ago. No one has been in touch to let them know. !!!!!!, the lot of ‘em.
Anyway what with the weather being awful i have stayed in today and knitted. Jumper front and a whole sleeve finished today. Also baked lemon meringue pie for the aged ps with a bos of mix found in their cupboard in date…just. So sad, mum was such a good cook. There’s one more sachet in the pack so the next one will be old but only just if I make it in August.
Iona it was a Midsummer Nights Dream.
Beds stripped today so the laundry pile is ominous. Am chucking some old bedding. 1 single bed, rarely slept in so i don’t need 4 duvet covers and i certainly don’t need one which was chewed by gerbils (a bit)
