Morning all
Early birds, worms and all that jazz. Wide awake since 4am. DW emptied and reloaded with bits from the hob, slow cooker and pans. WM unloaded - some in TD, some over airer. Pouring with rain and set it for the day.
Coal bill paid, car taxed & invoice for builders merchant for some wood I needed for fencing paid. A few bits of paperwork burnt on the fire and puppy has been fed.I am leaving at 7.30, as have a couple of errands to run on the way to work. I suspect I will be absolutely shattered later, so I intend to treat myself to a bottle of wine. My favourite Spanish rose is still only £3.40 in Lidl so not too extravagant.I hope you all have lovely days xx9 -
Obviously its not great news Pigpen but so glad you have got a diagnosis and I hope this helps her to get the support she needs. Gorgeous photos too.
And ASB wow that is huge, you are right in trying to getting compensation and I hope you get the support and help you need too xx
My boy graduated from University yesterday, what an emotional day. DS1 came too and it was so lovely to see them together, they are such great friends. As DH says we have had more than our fair share of tough times as a family and yesterday was very special.
The house is messy in places but its a wet day so after volunteering for an hour this morning I am going to have a day pottering about and flying a little.
Hope its a good Saturday everyone, love and hugs to those who need it x9 -
Morning ladies xx
Hugs to all from me too. Congratulatory hugs, commiserationory hugs, !!!!!! hugs, extra gentle hugs for Pixie and Little Miss asb, ....I would like to pull you all into a 'nothing will ever hurt you again' hug but that's not possible. So it's an 'I care' hug my lovely flylady friends ❤
So much to do. So little motivation to do it. Nothing new there then.🥴 Weatherman says rain all day today, tomorrow and Monday....so I'll be drying washing indoors then. Slowly. Got to wash it first - though I have brought down the laundry hamper so I'm heading in the right direction.
I'm up, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo and supped my first brew. Second brew is required. Join me? Then I need a list.
Love to all

Morning all. I echo what Round says. Hugs to all whether happy or comforting ones, or virtual ones for Piggers.
Up fairly early. I'm supposed to be in an outdoor event today but think it's probably going to be cancelled so I really don't know now what I'm going to do instead.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all, another echo of Round’s hugs from here too.
Jazee, if you are at a loose end, I have a list as long as my arm (my arms are very, very long…) if you want to come and join me…I fear that it is the opposite end of the country, so may not be too convenient though!
YL, your DH is so right. You brought tears to my eyes with that statement.
Heavy rain forecast here too for today, although it hasn’t yet started. Wm is on. I have a list, which I might just have mentioned already. Boring admin stuff mixed with indoor flying. I also have a utility room to turn into a temporary kitchen and a kitchen to turn into a building site.
Yesterday an armchair and a desk left the house. We now have a 2 piece suite in the LR, but then we do have a kitchen table in there, so something had to give. Chair with no springs was the lucky candidate. Plumber came to look at the boiler. Of course, it is the most expensive part that has failed, which we had already suspected. He hopes that he can get the part and fix it next week…
DH is in seventh heaven - I actually remembered to get him some chicken out of the freezer for dinner tonight, so he will get his meat fix.
I’ve already joined Round with my first cuppa, off to get a second. Then I can start the day.
Hugs and love to all x8 -
and a further echo of Round’s sentiments
im glad it’s the weekend
DW x1, WM x 1. washing will be folded until Tuesday as we have rain. i’m just relieved it was dry yesterday when we held our annual HandleBards performanceDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Oooo a three brew morning. Not had one of those for a while.
I'm dressed, sorted washing into loads and set first load swishing, put my coat on and fed the birds, put out the rubbish and recycling, took off my coat, put a new bin bag in the kitchen bin, made toast, ate it, and I'm now supping that 3rd brew.
I've also put the throat lozenges back in the meds drawer (sore throat yesterday) and put the wrapping paper with the stash in the drawer under my bed (wrapped an engagement present for DS and F).
Waiting in for a parcel delivery from Royal Mail. Hopefully 2 parcels...sandals (optimism rules 🌧 🤣) and shoes.
WUDUPA next

Morning.
Was up around 7 to let doogie out. First cuppa and breakfast had while watching a big of carp tv.
Showered and still need to dress but second cuppa sank and update of finances done.
It is raining outside here too which is annoying as I need to take doogie to the groomers for 12 o clock. It is 10 minutes walk so really too close to take the car so we will get wet which is fine on the way in but not on the way out when she is all clean and fluffy.
Will probably nip into town in between as need to get some plasters to cover my blister on the crook of my hand that I did on the barbeque while we were away. It was doing fine until we got home and the skin broke so now need to keep it clean and covered. Don't need anything else so will probably end up having coffee in town as I would have to walk past the groomer to get home and then walk back again which defies my logic.
Best get on as wont be going anywhere unless i get dressed!Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!8 -
Sorry Fayolle, I found my own long discarded list.
So far today I have done dailies, scrubbed kitchen sink, walked Poppet in a light shower and taking inspiration from Narco I have sorted out my dressing table drawers etc. Some items now destined for CS. Some of Poppets bedding is now in machine and I am watching the football.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
First load draped on the airer, second load swishing.
Pots WULTD and marmalade jar soaking prior to being delabelled and recycled.
Postman has been. Shoes and sandals tried on. Packaging recycled or binned as appropriate. Old sandals binned so I cannot be tempted to continue wearing them - heels worn right down, inner soles independent of rest of sandal, and, not to put to fine a point on it, they stink! But comfortable. Gone now🚮 😇
Coffee next. Join.me?
