So I have had breakfast twice, fed and walked Poppet, done dailies, hoovered areas that needed doing and had a bath and got dressed. My day out is still on and I'm being picked up soon so that's my flying done for the day.Spend less now, work less later.8

Morning all, trying to fly again!
So far today: DW done; WM on twice, I've taken the loose covers off the sofas, one lot on the line,(in the rain showers!!!) the other ready to go out; water and harvested in the tunnel, topped up eggs and veg on the gate; helped OH with some of the twiggy branches that need cutting off and moving, the other half of our BIG tree came down in the wind, it's taken out two fences and destroyed a gate, need to get it sorted asap; Helped OH finish enclosing the chicken run, where we had to take out a 6 foot wide gate and replace it with tin, gate now needed for the field. Still need to inventory the freezers at some point today, hopefully, more wood to move, DGC to collect from school and feed.
Hope you're all well, speak soon and catch up, hugs, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -

Sorry to hear about the storm damage, mumtoomany x
I already knew that the freezer section of the FF in the kitchen was icing up, and had planned to defrost it "sometime soon" - but when I opened the fridge this morning, I realised that it was also in desperate need of a clean (as per the list). So I have done both. I ache all over today, and it took me about 2 hours. My arthritis is playing up because of the damp. Not sure if I have any stamina left to go to Action Heart this afternoon, but I have already gone up and down the stairs at least 10 times and have been doing bench steps on and off the small stepladder, so that should do! I'm going to sit down with some parrots and a coffee, and see how I feel later. Fortunately the dog walker has taken Rosie out, so that's one less job for me.
I have also dealt with the filing, put away the cake tins, done WMx1, and sewn on the badges. Fortunately I had not hung the washing out before we had two heavy downpours, and the forecast is saying that it will stay dry here for the rest of the day. I'll hang out before I sit down, IYSWIM, and keep my fingers crossed (only metaphorically). It shouldn't be beyond my capability to make some of the phonecalls too, so no excuses there!

nipped home to 'pick up my tablets' which I had forgotten, (side effect tablets - it's really unwise for me not to have them on me, particularly the loperamide) so while I was there I brought in the washing.
I've hung DDs gym clothing (lycra) on the other maiden and the little sock hanger, for socks and smalls, is hung in a window now. Back to work, ate lunch and have been swimming and am now back at work via CS *fling* Outswim cancer is finished for the summer, so I might pop for some sessions after work as the pool is likely to be quieter then.

Not too bad for a Monday.I now have three baby chicks living in a cat carrier in the kitchen under a lamp… their mum has rejected them and unfortunately if I leave them out all night they’ll either die of cold or a rat will have them. So into my kitchen they come!
Had a brilliant haul of hugely reduced items at Heron food on the way to work today, they seem to do their 90% off first thing in the morning which is great. I really need to get my finances in order, I have been so frugal for so long but things all seem topsy turvy ATM. Work is DOING MY HEAD IN and if I can sort something else out I will be leaving. They want my pound of flesh and then some.
Bedtime now with my book, alarm set for half five. Sleep well all xx
PS Fayolle I hope it all went well babe xx7 -

Not a bad day at the paid stuff, 10 hours done. Bedtime soon just need to pack lunch for tomorrow.
