It used to be possible to save just one post on a thread but I can't find a way of doing this now (I have some very old single posts that I've saved like this).  I know I can copy and paste onto a doc, or screen snip (unless the post's so long that even with reducing screen size it doesn't all fit onto one screen snip).  Is there a way of just saving one post now, please?

The date and time bit under the username at the top of a post, with the little chain link icon, is the URL of a specific post - could you save/bookmark that?

Thank you, yes I could bookmark it, it's just that I'd prefer to be able to do what I used to and save the specific post  :)

I don't think it's been possible to save a specific post (as opposed to thread) for at least three years - it's not something that's available in our current forum software.

I think the point that BooJewels was making is that you can save the actual post this way. Open the post you want to save, as BooJewels said, and then save it, as in Control+D, or however you choose to do it. That should save the post for you.

I suspected as much, it's been a long time since I wanted to save a particular post, thanks for confirming.

I'm reading on ipad and cannot find the "start new thread" button on any forum. I have looked everywhere. Can someone post a screen shot and point to it please?

There you go. The round red + at the bottom right.
Now that’s a bit confusing, I’ve got the screenshot and the real button below it!  :D
