Haven't checked if this has been reported about the annoying Quick Links Dropdown BUT:On this current thread, the menus drop down, and cover the text no matter how you scroll the page while they are dropped down they remain attached to the top teal-coloured MSE bar:However on threads in other forums, the menu drops, and then if you scroll it seems to move down the page, and you can see what you are scrolling appear between the drop-down bit and the MSE top bar:Using Windows PC and Firefox.

And now for some updates -MegaMenu (The white drop-menu)This is core part of the new theme. It can’t be made click-to-activate, or have a delay before activating.Disabling it completely is possible, but this will also disable the side-menu in mobile format - which is vital navigation. We are looking at if there are any options to put in our own changes or fixes, but if there are any, they will have to be carefully tested. We have put in a feature request for more options.Red Circle ‘New Thread’ menuThis is a core part of the new theme. It can’t be changed. We will be investigating if changing the colour makes it less annoying, or if this would actually make it more likely to be accidentally clicked. We have put in a feature request for more options.Limit of 10 Threads on New Discussions pageThis is how these pages are intended to be displayed and cannot be changed. It is intended to be small for quicker loading times and easier digestibility. However, we know this isn't necessarily the best format. We have put in a feature request for more options.Width of content Area (Empty Space)This is a feature of our theme that cannot be changed. The width is very similar to our previous version, and only appears to be different because of the sidebar placement. We have put in our own small adjustment to make the sidebar sticky so that it stays on screen as you scroll which should mean there is less obvious empty space.Text Editor - Size of text too big/wrong fontOur provider hasn't been able to trace the reason for this. So we have put in our own temporary fix.Minor tweaks to font colour to make easier on eyeThere have been some very small changes to make the text easier to read.Breadcrumbs at the bottomPreviously, there were some breadcrumbs at the bottom of the editor box. While our forum provider is investigating bringing these back, we have added our own breadcrumbs tweakInability to Mark Read / Mark All ReadThis isn’t a part of our new theme, but a custom fix is possible and is being worked on by our provider.Hover effect on Competitions Time boardSome members reported it was harder on desktop to go through competitions when the checkboxes are all the way at the right. We have added a slight hover effect so that it’s clearer what row you are hovering over.Competition Time. The “New” notice can appear multiple timesFixes for multiple “new” are being worked on.Finally, we haven't missed any of the other issues highlighted in this thread. Some are linked to other issues (for example, there have been separate issue with Search and Notifications recently that are being investigated/fixed).
well it was nice while it lasted.2 -

This was one of my requests and I'm sure I was one amongst many others. I'm left a bit incredulous that this is a "forum used by many 100s of other communities" and the user can't adjust how many posts they see per page. Even my age-old phpBB forum has the ability to allow users to adjust this to any maximum that the admin sets.10 -
What about too much space between paragraphs. The comment above is showing this effect. It isn't the typist's error.1

It makes no difference to digestibility, as only the first few posts are displayed on screen, even with only 10 you still need to scroll down
And for speed! An update should be looking at the future, 5G full fibre. Having it just set as 10 and can't be changed is dial-up mentally.

As mentioned by JC in the previous update, we are currently using an old legacy text editor.
As well as not working optimally with the new theme, this text editor has many bugs that won't be fixed as it is no longer supported.
Some bugs include:
- Strange spacing
- Errors when @mentioning another member
- Cursor becoming 'stuck' in quotes.
- Keyboard not appearing in IOS when messaging.
...and several others.
We attempted to update our editor to resolve all these issues and in preparation for our new theme, but we reverted to the current editor.
The new version of the editor is the only one that will receive updates. It will be constantly worked and many of the issues pointed out in the previous thread have already been resolved.

Many thanks for the update ...Just a couple of points to pick up on ....This is really irritating for me so don't really understand how it can be a "core part of the new theme". What is it supposed to achieve?MSE_Stephen said:MegaMenu (The white drop-menu)This is core part of the new theme. HmmComment 1: I copied the whole of this text, selected it all in the editor and clicked "Quote" - It appears to have placed only part in the quote box
Comment 2: It may be "a core part of the new theme", but as shown in my comment at 1.39 (further up the page) this "core part" doesn't seem to do the same thing here as on other threads!

Given some of the features that have been tweaked, not being able to edit the functionality of the MegaMenu sounds ... let's just say - implausible. (Unless its creation is buried deep within the template files).
And +1 to the "more than 10 per page" request ... the vast majority of posts are text-only - you do not need massive bandwidth to serve up more posts (text) per page; even up to 50 per page - it's only a few KB. If page loading time is the issue then the problem is either a) the forum template is very poorly coded, and/or b) the forum server bandwidth is limited.Jenni x8 -

Note:1. How much your reply was over-spaced, and,2. How your quote is differently laid out, compared with the post you're quoting.!MSE should fell quite humiliated by their inability to provide a WYSIWYG editor. 30+ years after WYSIWYG became the norm.1
