I was in a similar position last week. I emailed them and they reduced the amount due today.purplevamp said:I signed up for their V4 fixed tariff last month when it was offered to me. My payments were meant to be £154.11 from 1 July. Today they took a payment of £191.70 out of my account. I have emailed them to ask why this is the case. I'm not happy
Strangely they didn't take anything so I guess the direct debit will go out tomorrow.0 -

Yes, free to move across E.ON Next tariffs. If you move supplier before the end of contract you will be charged an exit fee.bristolleedsfan said:chaoszone said:
You are committing though by agreeing to stay with the company for the next 12 months. You have to pay an exit fee only if you change companies.bristolleedsfan said:
Self contradictory - fact they allow tariff switching from 12 month fixed rate without exit fees - no commitment.chaoszone said:They'll be wanting commitment so that they can forward plan block purchase of fuel and I think that gradually new offers will become available to jump on to. It may end up that you have to tariff hop as new deals appear. There's probably little admin for tariff transferring.
Screenshot I previously posted today in reply to post of yours clearly states "free to switch across Eon Next tariffs"

See T&Cs: 11.2 "You can arrange to switch to another of our tariffs or to another supplier at any time without giving notice, but if you switch supplier before we send you your renewal notice we may charge you an exit fee.
In other words you are locked into a 12 month contract with them but can move between available tariffs they offer. I don't know why you are making it sound so complicated. All they are saying is that if you promise stay with them for 12 months you won't be charged £75 to move between plans.
You will only be charged £75 if you change supplier.

Fixed tariffs are not really about saving money, they're about having certainty of pricing and not worrying about price increases if we have another winter like the last one.Peppa537 said:I've had a look at the loyalty fixed 4 tariff as I had an email offering it to me. However after working it out it doesn't seem worth it for me. With my current usage it saves me £60 over the 12 months.

I’ve been offered this and I’m trying to work out if this will be a decent deal for me? I am off grid for gas, so I’m electricity only, but I do have solar panels.
It looks to me as if I will be better off with fix (unit 30.4 / standing charge 37.63/day) vs current flex account (unit 30.72 / standing charge 43.66/day), HOWEVER, I currently pay GBP 66 / month and they want me to pay GBP 99 / month. I’m guessing this will also be fixed?
Presumably this will just mount up my account until they pay me some back, like an interest-free savings account?
I can’t work out if it’s worth me going for the fix or not… is anyone with better maths than me able to figure it out?

My IHD also notified me that it is costing less/kwh I figured it is a better deal for renewables owners because the bigger hit is on the standing charge. I've just run my annual figures for flex on their website and my bill has dropped £7 per month compared to flex. When I worked out the maths I found that if you are running mainly off grid for electric it's of benefit with the standing charge dropping by approximately 15% (37.63+15%=43.27).
Have you plugged the power usage figures on their website for both plans? That should give you a ball park.
Personally I think they are banking on the inertia effect that statistically shows that 90% are satisfied enough to do nothing and of the 10% of dissatisfied only 5% will move.1 -

I've just noticed I used the word "plans" instead of "supplier" at the end of paragraph 2. ie:DerwentMailman said:
I'm sure someone will be able to confirm or refute this but I sincerely hope you are incorrect about what you think Eon Next means by the terms of section 11.2chaoszone said:

We all agree that changing supplier, whilst still on this Loyalty Fix, will incur exit fees
All they are saying is that if you stay with them for 12 months you won't be charged £75 to move suppliers.
I can't see why you can't just move to flex to avoid the exit fees.0 -
If you are not seeing the offer on your phone try logging on your computer or in my case my Tablet. I have been using my phone to look for offers and I haven't been seeing any, as soon as I logged in with my Tablet I could see the offers.

I just called them because my monthly payment was still over £200 and not the £140 it should be.
They said it would update next payment then mentioned about having the dreaded smart meter
I said no
They said that tariff requires a smart meter but I couldn't see it in t&c and why would it let me swap as they know I don't have one.
