Looking at the future prices I’m confident this EoN fix will be a winner over the next 12 months. For this reason alone I’d be very surprised if a new fix became available that beat this v4 rate. I’m happy with my decision.4

There is the cost saving from this current price cap being higher than the v4. Adding that and the potential for rises in the next period… I feel comfortable sticking1

I worked out that by Oct 1st I'll have saved about £12 compared to the SVT, and between then and Dec 31st (all guesswork as to usage of-course) I might lose £20, so a net loss of only £8, then given the present forecast a potential saving of perhaps £20 to £30 in Q124 (depends on how cold it is of-course!) followed by the second quarter which, at the moment, looks as if it isn't going to be much different to the rates on V4 - electricity a penny or two less perhaps but mitigated by the standing charge saving, and of-course the SC might have gone up a bit by then.
On present forecasts I still hope to end up a few pounds ahead but If I lose out I doubt it'll be by more than a trivial sum, and there is still the reassurance of being protected in the event that prices rise for whatever reason.
By the way, regions might vary but I worked out my standing charge saving on this tariff at present is just over 12p per day which is well over £40 per year.5 -
Just looked at my personal figures, and on most recent estimated annual usage* (which is pretty accurate to actual), my V4 cost will be £1285.
This compares to the current cap of £1345, and £1256 based on the coming October cap.
I'm OK with that.

If you are over a 14 day cooling of period there will be exit fees I'm afraid. Thanks-Mohdarren jewels @darrenjewels68.1d When did this happen as never paid beforeE.ON Next @eon_next. 1d Replying to @darrenjewels68I do not have exact date details as this would be specific to tariff information. -Moh0

Sainsburys (effectively eon next) have two fixed options, the slightly cheaper one has exit fees for changing tariff as well as supplier so wouldn't surprise me if Eon Next end up with similar options at some point.
