PloughmansLunch said:I'm all sorted now - they said FP undertaken yesterday lunchtime, and they actually paid by CHAPS just before the end of the day. Now to leave well alone!1

I had an email today from the online banking team saying that they could not verify my sort-code and account number electronically, and asking me to send them a photo of a recent bank statement to prove my linked account.
This is about a week and a half after I applied for online access, so it seems that it is not an automated process and needs manual monitoring - which is good for our securty and explains why online user IDs have not been instant.
Did I wish it was faster? Yes. But I am glad they're doublechecking thngs, and am in no hurry for onine access to be sorted. So lng as it is progressing, I am happy.0 -
As it's been a couple of weeks since I registered for User ID and still not received anything, I checked with them today and was advised it takes around 10 working days before this will be issued, they said it's in a queue to be processed. I still don't know how confident I am to pay in as I've not read anything yet about how long it actually takes to withdraw (I mean from when they receive written instructions and passbook). I was told that anything under £10,000 should be ok by FP, anything over's by cheque unless you want to pay for CHAPS.1

It's now over 2 weeks since I applied for online banking access and I still haven't received my username through the post. I did receive a 'forgotten password' email last week though which makes me wonder whether the original password email (sent out when the account was opened) was a genuine password and not an email sent by mistake, as mentioned previously (ie. my online banking request has somehow caused that original password to be reset).
Is anyone else still waiting for online banking access ? And did anyone else receive a password reset email (despite not requesting a reset) ?
I guess it's also possible that someone else has received my online ID and is trying to reset my password, which would obviously be fairly concerning.
I tried contacting them via online chat but it timed out after about 15 minutes.0 -

I've only ever had the temporary password that I think everyone was emailed when opening the account. The account was opened 1st June (or maybe a bit earlier) and I've asked several times for a user ID in the post but nothing has been received.
It seems like a faff, but if I opened one of their easy access-type accounts would that be an option to get a back-door way to at least show the balance of the Branch Saver?0 -

I've just emailed them for an update on my online banking application so I'll update here when I hear back.0
