Given that withdrawals can only be made by sending the passbook in (if not able to get to a branch), then God knows how long it would take for them to find the passbook in their mountain of a back log in order to process the withdrawal. I understand you can request a withdrawal by phone but I'm not sure how useful that is as, from what I was told, you still have to send the passbook.0

Mine took 21 days then a pass book arrived, so pleased. Now opening a Coventry Four Access Saver at 4% online it took all of 5 minutes!0

PloughmansLunch said:I think other more accessible accounts will be catching up to the favourable % very soon.I doubt if that is the case because their rate is linked to the base rate and instant* acess rates have consistently been well below base rate since they started moving upwards* we don't know the full withdrawal mechanisms yet, so I'm assuming that this is effectively a 7/14 day notice account, but the argument still applies0

As the Branch Saver is linked to the Bank of England base rate, presumably that means it'll get a 0.5% boost to 5% in the near-future ?1

I had an email saying the account was open and my welcome pack was in the post. A separate email with my password for online banking. They said the User ID would be sent in the post.
However the welcome pack arrived with no sign of the User ID. Waited several days and then tried several times to register online to have one sent to me. Came back with an error each time saying I should ring them.
What is the point? Has anyone on here successfully got their User ID
