    Not yet.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

But this is just part of the normal early process explained already in the second post of the NEWBIES thread. I advise you to re-read the section under the RED CAPITALS heading.

    Hello

    Update on this case :

Letter from the Court arrived today as per below:

    Re: case number xxxxxx

We are in receipt of your case file which has been transferred to us from County Court at xxxxx

It has been placed before a Judge for directions. Due to the high volume of orders we are currently processing, please allow 3-4 weeks to hear from us.

Please note that from 26th of September 2022 this court will no longer take direct calls in relation to family or civil matters. Instead, you will need to dial 0300 123 5577 which will connect you to our contact centre in the HMCTS National Business Centres, where your call will be handled by a colleague from the customer contact team trained on the family or civil process. This is a change in practice and familiarity for you however, it enables this court to focus on delivery of frontline services and processing of administrative work. We ask that you support us to deliver this by using the contact centre for your queries.

Our call agents are trained on family or civil process and able to answer process questions or provide you with an update on your case but are unable to provide legal advice. A handoff procedure to relay queries to courts is in place, should your enquiry or call need to be dealt with by the court. The contact centre is open 8.30AMto 5PM, Monday to Friday, except Bank holidays and takes calls for 34 courts across the country.

    Yours sincerely,
    .................................

No worries. And you are back JUST IN TIME to do this Inquiry to call upon the Justice Committee to keep parking cases out of court:

Please read and do it!  You have evidence of a typical meritless 'outrageous scam' claim and that your court can't even manage to keep up with phone calls due to being swamped by parking cases.

The Inquiry closes next week so it's one for this weekend, please.

Please use your paperwork as evidence and state that parking claims (a third of all small claims)  are the cause of these delays.

  • Thank you @Coupon-mad , I will.

Just had a quick read of the other thread sent in your comment and also the Committee page - I will read them again.

Did I understand correctly that in my case, the paperwork evidence you mentioned is the last letter that I posted here yesterday?
  • on the other note, please could you advise from your experience, whether there's a possibility for this case to be discontinued?
    Thank you.

    That and the claim form.

The whole point of responding to this Inquiry is to show the Justice Committee some parking claims and tell them this sort of thing:
