    Don't see why they can't just rebrand it EE and send you out an EE simcard, and honor their contract with you
    Because they no longer want to sell at the current budget rates. You already have an EE SIM, that what PN runs on.
    The cheapest 'special deal' to ex PN customers is £8 a month: that's a near 50% increase on the £6 I was paying until a month ago.
    Also roaming charges on EE, unlike Plusnet mobile. Not attractive for me.

    It's not as though plusnet were the cheapest on the market, nowmobile and rwg do £5 offers with eu roaming included and more data iirc.

    EE have told me that roaming in the Republic of Ireland is included, which is the only place I am likely to visit. Their deal of 5GB for £8 isn’t good but they include 6mths of Apple Music which could save me over £60, so I might sign up for the six months and then move to either 1p or RWG (if they have WiFi calling by then).

    Isn't the 5GB for £8 deal for a 12 month minimum?

    EDIT: Just looked, seems the EE deals being offered are 30 day rollers.

    How is a £2 increase 50%?

    My wife is paying £6.87 a month for 1gb data and can get 5gb for £8 plus free Apple TV and Music for 6 months, I’d say that was worth the extra.

    I'd agree that there was a very small window between closing to new customers and issuing advice to existing customers to look elsewhere (AFAIK they haven't issued a disconnection date yet).
    I've yet to receive any communication at all from PN.

    Neither have I but if you go onto the mobile section of their website it says that they are joining forces with EE

    A senior moment: I meant to say a 33% increase.
    It might be worth the extra to you, but I'm just looking for am economic SIM-only deal, not one with a limited-time TV and music add-on.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    How much data/extras do you get for your £6 pm?
    Rwg do 5gb for £5 and are a very similar service to plusnet imo.

    Edit;
    I guess it's this;

    What's the cheapest Plusnet SIM-only deal?

    lusnet’s cheapest SIM only deal is £6 per month for 4GB of data with unlimited calls and texts, available on either a one month or 12 month deal.

    I'm on a legacy Plusnet deal which started off at £5, went down to £4 when they matched a new customer offer for me and has trickled up since with the price rises. Still no official notification, but have started the process of moving to Lebara as MSE have got a current deal of 49p for the first 6 months then £4.90 for 3GB/unlimited calls & texts.
