Giff Gaff are the cheapest O2 "piggybacker" but appear to have no plans to offer wifi calling yet.
Might give 1p mobile a go in one of the phones as my daughter is on EE and gets a signal OK in our house.0 -

Wouldn't credit just keep accumulating if you have to keep topping up every 4 months but not spending? You've lost me?If you have unlimited calls and texts and some data with 1p Mobile that means you'll have an active bundle (or boost to use their word). This will be charged each month to the credit or debit card you register with them. As boosts are £3+ per month, this will cover the £2.50 per month (£10 every 4 months) minimum topup requirement as you'll be, in effect, topping up to buy the boost.

What are your usage requirements?
With 1pmobile you can get unlimited calls and texts but only nominal data for £36 for a year, rwg (also using ee) offer 2gb data but only 250 mins per month for £20 for a year.
https://www.rwgmobile.wales/webshop/offers/1-year-sim-250-mins-250-sms-2gb-data-every-month-for-12-months-one-off-charge/
Also worth checking plans on nowmobile, who actually supply rwg.0 -

Am leaving plusnet now and got my pac number. Does the contract automatically cancel once I activate this or do I have to ring them to cancel pls?0

I’m confused about 1p mobile too. On their help page, it says to join and get a new sim I have to top up by £10 initially and then top up again every 4mths. The bundles seem to be something I’d have to buy every month out of this credit. Is that how it works? I can’t be bothered having to log in, top up and buy a bundle every month. I just want a 30 day rolling contract.0

I've got the £20 monthly bundle on a sim in my mobile router and it's running like clockwork.2

I agree that 1pMobile is not 100% clear on this although I am a big fan of them and everything else is very clear and works very well.
I paid them £10 and got the SIM card, I then topped up with another £20 which resulted in my date of next topup being required to satisfy their topup rules showing as being a year in the future.
The boosts which they do and are of relevance to me are £6 for 4gb of data and £7.50 for 4gb of data plus unlimited calls and texts. I don't make many calls or send many texts so I'm happy for the few that I do make/use to come out of my balance and I think I will make far less than £1.50 worth each month.
I'm going for the £6 boost and have set it to repeat each month plus I've set auto topup which means if my balance gets to £2 they'll automatically add another credit of £10 from my payment method. So you could set up something similar and then forget about it.
I think the insistence on topping up £10 every 120 days only really applies to those who hardly ever make a call and hardly ever use any data - 1pMobile basically want to make at least £30 a year from all their customers and I think that's fair enough for the service they provide.0 -
