As expected. Keep referring back to the twelve step guide in defence template thread you are following.
Thank you, sorry are you able to link the thread in question as I'm unsure where I can view the threads I am following.
    No link needed.

The 12 first steps list is in the Template Defence sticky thread (where we know you got the defence from) and the list is designed to stop you needing to ask us a about the first standard letters & forms.

Nothing is new.  Nothing is different. ALL if it is in the NEWBIES thread and Template Defence thread and defence was not your only job.

ALSO: while you await your standard N180 form, we hope you are coming back in 3 or 4 weeks to join us all for the DLUHC's final public consultation, to get the new law over the line, at last?

If you set an auto update in your Profile for email alerts and bookmark the following thread, you will be notified when any announcement is made.
Please read the 2022 replies there.  All is explained there so you can see what it's about and why your voice is needed.

See you in August to help win the war v rogue PPCs

Yes sorry wasn't aware which thread we were referring to at the at the time but got it now.

I incorrectly assumed as it was DCB Legal, they would discontinue after the defence had been filed but I now know this isn't the case.

As it has been over two weeks since I received the letter from
DCB outlining the clients intention to proceed, should I download the N180 myself and get this completed and sent, as I have not received one to date?

Also, am I entitled to input a different address of service to the address I received the claim to?

Will have a read of that thread and of course be back in August to support any cause against these scumbags!

It will be some more weeks yet, the CCBC are hopelessly adrift with their admin. We have many motorists in your position vis a vis the N180. They've all been advised to be patient; none has come back to state any longer term issue with this part of the process.
Also, am I entitled to input a different address of service to the address I received the claim to?
Have you moved, or will a different address mean you will have better/more guaranteed access to any documents the court or DCB Legal send you?  To have that change of address for service, you must put it in writing to the court, to DCB Legal and UKPC (their Data Protection Officer) instructing them to erase (use that word) the address xxxxxxx they currently have for you and to replace with xxxxxxx.

    Hi guys,

I have received an email from DCB Legal today offering me a full and final settlement and if not agreeable, they will continue the court process. Obviously won't be falling for this, however, my question is do I ignore the email or should I respond to notify them I am rejecting their offer and I look forward to seeing them in court?

    Thanks

JUST IGNORE THEM.  Standard copy and paste from DCBL

    DISCONTINUATION ON THE WAY

If you feel a bit naughty, you could reply saying ..
    "SEE YOU IN COURT"

Actually, no. They will continue the discontinuation process. Ignore their 'offer' to dig a hole in your wallet. Discontinuation incoming soon!

Patiently waiting for an update. I’ve just sent DCB Legal my response to their Letter of Claim.

Hi guys, I'm back again :s so I have received an email from DCB Legal with their clients Witness Statement for a hearing listed for 23/01/2024, however, I have not received any correspondence to notify me of a hearing on this date. Just a few questions:

    1) Is there any way in which I can postpone the hearing? We've had a recent bereavement in the family so could do without dealing with this for now.

    2) Is it unlikely they will discontinue given they have now submitted the witness statement?

Their witness states the below, if it is of any relevance:

    - I may not be able to attend the forthcoming hearing. Should this be so, an advocate will attend on my behalf. I ask that the Court accepts this as written notice pursuant to CPR 27.9(1). If I am unable to attend, please decide the claim in my absence, taking into account the advocate’s submissions, this Statement, and any other evidence filed. This paragraph demonstrates my compliance with CPR 27.9(1)(a)-(b).

-In the event an advocate does attend the hearing, I request their fee be added to the amount sought.

    Thanks in advance

Hearing in 23rd means your likely WS bundle deadline is no later than 2 weeks before.  That's emailing it to the court & DCBLegal on Tuesday.

No you cannot postpone the hearing.

Show us your WS based on the ones in the NEWBIES thread and do it TODAY. Easy stage. But urgent.

    They might still discontinue.
