Debit card never worked for me anyway.ircE said:Email from Zing today to indicate the debit card payment option will be withdrawn. However, Apple and Google Pay will remain options.
Speaking of which, google pay doesn't seem to either.0 -
Vanguard has just announced a shake-up of their fee structure. From 31/01/25 there will be a minimum fee of £4 a month. Which means that, unless you have a sizeable pot there anyway, they will be pretty useless for cheap DDs.

There may be a workaround if you only have uninvested cash held there as there no charge for that.chris_o said:Vanguard has just announced a shake-up of their fee structure. I'm really struggling to work out how to open a Wealthify GIA. I want to set up a 1 off direct debit for £1500 from my Zopa current account to secure the max £30 direct debit cashback Zopa offer but when I look at setting it up on Wealthify it looks like there is a fee for any money invested. Any advice or better ideas to achieve this gladly welcomed!0

If you want a free-of-charge DD, you are looking at things like the various savings accounts listed on page 1, credit card payments and utilities bills. You have an entire year to pay your £1,500 for the Zopa cashback1 -
That is fair enough I know. I just thought there was a way round it with the Wealthify GIA but I'm probably getting it mixed up with something else.friolento said:

I've never used them myself, but I thought the trick was that you just keep the cash uninvested and then you don't get charged the investment fees?s71hj said:

Not sure if this is the best thread to ask this in, but when trying to satisfy the requirements of a switching incentive, do direct debits have to be recurring monthly ones, or could they also be annual? Or anywhere in between for that matter?1

Always best to consult the Ts&Cs of the individual switching offer but generally an annual DD shall suffice so long as it's an ``active" DD.winkowinko said:Not sure if this is the best thread to ask this in, but when trying to satisfy the requirements of a switching incentive, do direct debits have to be recurring monthly ones, or could they also be annual?
