It's their "Fund and Share" account. As well as adding cash with DD you can do it with a debit card (£1 min I think).s71hj said:
Great thanks. So what is the name of the account I have to open with HL to achieve this scenario as it sounds perfect for my purposesboingy said:I have a GIA account with HL and you can DD to the cash part of that without having to invest it. I have the DD set-up permanently and just set it to £25 when I need it to be active and to £0 again when I'm done. Then I withdraw the cash and leave a small balance. I've had the account a couple of years and I've never traded with it. They haven't hassled me yet, but if they did I couldn't really complain.

Suggestion that could be open within hours is potentially really useful. And very clear option to choose to leave all in spend and save account and open account without choosing investments.s71hj said:

Sorry might have missed this one.
Are you saying the HL F&S account would be useful for making Debit Card payments e.g. for Halifax Rewards accounts and you can access and withdrawn the money easily back to a bank account?0 -
HL doesn't seem to recognise Zopa Bank's details if anyone else is trying to set up a DD for the current Zopa 2% cashback bonus.0

Hope someone can help, please. I'm not good with apps at the best of times, but I logged onto my PayPal account today to request my usual £1 from my linked Halifax Reward account, and the usual move money in button's missing. All that's appearing on the home page is send and request, when I click on the balance, the only option I'm given then is withdraw money. I haven't changed anything, and as far as I can see the linked account is still linked and its valid to date is middle of next year. Can someone advise, please?0

If of interest should same happen to anyone else; I was using the app on an iPad and although the app version was the latest, I tried putting it on my newer iPhone 13 and the add money option then appeared. I don't understand why it appeared on the one but not the other when they are both version 8.74.0. This is one of the reasons I don't like apps, I prefer to use iPhone to android phones, but unless you have a newish model - you're stuck.10_66 said:Hope someone can help, please. I have Sprive app, based on the posts at the start of this thread, thank you. It is showing as a direct debit in my list on a bank account I want to switch. I can't for the life of me work out how to do a payment from that current account in case the switch needs it to be a dd that has paid out. Can anybody advise how!!?0

Email from Zing today to indicate the debit card payment option will be withdrawn. However, Apple and Google Pay will remain options.
I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.1 -
Hi
I'm looking to open a Plum ISA as a a DD vehicle. Can anyone tell me how I set it up correctly to take only a fixed amount weekly and not use the auto save option?
Many thanks0 -
Set up Plum, including the open banking connection to the account you wish to deposit from (no harm in allowing this to expire once all is set up).sheffieldeagle said:Hi

Go in to 'Brain'. Ensure everything is turned off except 'Pay Days'. Ensure frequency and amount is set as you desire (mine is set to £2 fortnightly on a Friday, which sorts out 1 of my Natwest/RBS Reward accounts).3
