  • Good luck with whatever you decide to do fella, I'd probably sit her down calmly explain all, and then if that didnt work, sell up and leave. My ex was utterly unreasonable with money etc, so I totally sympathise with you.

I was going to suggest that you have her read the thread (as a serious suggestion!). You have made your feelings very clear, & the way everyone has reacted might help her realise that the way she's carrying on is out of order. It sounds like talking face to face isn't working, so it could be a good wake up call.

  • it drives me mad when I've typed a reply and on pressing 'post' it comes up with an error message so here goes again... as I really wanted to just say NO NO NO please don't ever show her this. Whilst we girlies love to chat with our friends or even strangers and moan about our men, we (of course I do only speak for myself) cannot comprehend that you may want to do the same. I predict that you will be much more financially stable sooner than you think if you do. Whilst you are probably joking, don't even be tempted, keep your discussion to the issues which really concern you or she is likely to turn it into a row about what you should not have done ie. this, getting strangers to comment on her.
Do I speak from experience, perhaps, i don't know, i can't remember, I know I am never in the wrong ESPECIALLY when my bad points are thrown in my face.... sound familiar to anyone else?????????
  • Prestonlass, theres no way I would show her this thread, it was just a joke, a figure of speach as such, this place was for me to come and get it off my chest, i'd be !!!!ed off if she was whinging about me behind my back to a forum, i just wanted to make sure i wasnt being unreasonable, the advice and support so far as cheered me up no end, I spoke to her tonight and she has apologised(again), but this really is the last straw, if she tries it on again i'm ofski, debt free, women free and worry free, i'll have no mortgage to pay and a good salary, life will be bliss, i'm sure there's plenty women out there who are more switched on and would be better for me!!!:A

This has nothing to do(well alittle i suppose) with DFW but I'm at my wits end with my GF.

I earn a good wage, but i'm trying to clear my £13000 of debt by next xmas. But she is having tantrums about me saying no to another holiday in January.....why does she not understand!!!! i'm tearing my hair out. I pay everything except council Tax, i spend alot of money doing our new house house up but shes angry that I said I will not pay for a holiday in Jan as we have stuff for the house to get....Am i being unreasonable. It really shows me a another side to her and i'm ready to walk. We own the house together, she paid half the deposit and we have £50000 equity in the house, i'm thinking of selling up, splitting the cas, clearing my debt and moving on. RANT RANT RANT but i feel better already. She has debt to £5000 on C/C but it doesnt bother her as I'm paying everything as her new business is not doing so well. Can any women out there tell me how to handle this!!!! Thanks:confused:

Oh I know i spelt ready wrong on title but pretty fuming right now!

No don't walk away.......RUN..........run fast run deep but.....RUN....

You both clearly want different things in life so its better to find out now than later.
I can say with some confidence that you will find someone more attuned to your lifestyle and way of thinking, there really is someone out there for everyone. :o

hahaha thats funny mate. "RUN DEEP" yeah you're very true, the more mortgage payments the better off she will be should we split. It's a BIG commitment having the house together. We've been there 2 years and its really only the last 4 months its been like this, time is a dawning
