  • Good on you. I def wouldn't book anything right now, she really needs to look at her priorities (her work??) and make some effort. Pls don't get me wrong I am not slagging her off but it doesn't seem a fair situation on you.

Take time to think and don't make any rash decisons. Just do what makes you happy. Relationships take work, they are never easy!

    Keep posting! x

Believe it or not i've already threatened this when she wanted a HD widescreen all singing all dancing TV, she got a shock apologised profusly and said she wouldn't be so stupid....2 months later ...wolla-shes at it again!

Really?? Well then i would do what you ahve said and think if you really want to be with her.

If my partner tried to pay off their debts i would be as supportive as possible, and i would expect the same if the situation were the other way around!

Yup seriously beginning to think that myself. I've even said it to her..then the dramtics come... " ME.. I CANT BELIEVE YOU THINK THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH!

How much money are you going to spend (and therefore not be paying off your debt) before you call it a day? Dude I get the feeling that there most be some other issues in the relationship as well. From the way you are posting I do tend to doubt that the relationship has a long term future.

You could do a trial, Stop spending frivolously (eg holidays HiDef TVs etc) and see how how long before she finishes it!

Maybe the lass will realise and change, if she does love you then she will, if she just wants the presents etc. she won't change

    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

  • Yes, take her camping - if she wants abroad, make it France.

i'm ok - I sent my CV off but a couple of days later I saw the fire/evacuation on one of the rigs and it gave me the heeby-jeebies so the fact i've had no reply isn't a problem!!! I did wonder if it was your rig, but I knew you were either home, or heading home.

What are her friends like? Is she trying to keep up with them?

Doesn't sound very good does it? Especially as she knows your situation.

From what you've said she reminds me of a child throwing a tantrum.....harsh but true, think she needs to grow up and not rely on you so much.
  • Oooh, take her camping in January, that will really be fun! Charity shop blankets are great for keeping out the cold!

haha...i said those exact words to her and it went down like a lead balloon. maybe the financial side is she the tip of theiceberg, i'm prob just convincing myself that I have an excuse to end it...but really that is the reason... shes like a spoilt little brat..are mum and dad let her do whatever she wanted when she was growing up, think thats where it stems from.. even she is 28 now..2 years OLDER than me, but she doesnt act it!

That wasnt my rig keren, but my mates were on it..we had a small fire here yesterday nothing major. Home on Sunday for xmas and new year..i hope its not a bitter one!:A
