No, I was going to get the meter then switch to Octopus.  If I switch to Octopus now, I'll have to go on one of their E7 tariffs until they can change my meter (because I am wired for E7).  That will be bad for me as an ASHP user.  BG allow me to use a single rate tariff but Octopus don't.

Yes I had E7 when I had storage heaters but when the central heating was put in, they took the E7 meter out.

It's a time of use tariff, you may not be able to use it bit I and many others could.

Maybe even get yourself an ev to go with your smart meters?
