  • Morning! just a quick update from me this morning as my calls start in 5 minutes and I have a very busy day on the cards...

It should be another NSD today but as it's another Prime day I will hold off declaring! :D My PAD was £10 to the EF this morning and whilst I have £8+ in Prolific I can't cash any out yet so I will be keeping my eye on that throughout the day.

And that's it... except that I have a HUGE headache (since yesterday) that I can't seem to be able to shift.
    Catch you all later

  • I've managed to resist Prime day again so it's another NSD for me - still nothing cashable on Prolific though

  • Morning all and happy Thursday. I have another NSD ahead today so I have sent £10 to the EF as part of my PAD. I was happy to get the Prolific cash out in last night and I still have another £7+ pending approval too. It's been a good week for surveys to be fair.

Not really much else to report, my weekend plans have been cancelled so I will be able to save some money there...
Hope you're all having a good week

  • Happy Friday everyone. I'm late today but that's because I didn't want to get my lazy bum out of bed... and then I have done a few Prolific surveys before I started work. I actually had it in my head that it was Friday last night so I was disappointed when I woke up to my alarm.

So, finance wise, the broadband bill has gone out today and then I have sent £9 to the EF and popped £10 note in the cash envelope challenge bonus envelope.  I will update my signature today, I've not done it for a while and as we get closer to the sealed pot declaration day I am pleased with how much I have managed to save since my cards were paid off.

We aren't going out this weekend now, other than to visit a friend at their house so any spending should be low. At some point we need to order our currency for holiday. We are a bit apprehensive about using cash machines in South Africa as we have heard some horror stories so we aren't sure of the best approach. We land early morning so there's a chance we might not have immediate access to our room and safety deposit box.  I'm probably worrying over nothing, but having been burgled on holiday in the past I will always be more cautious than I used to be.

It's a NSD for me today again though, which I am declaring now :)

  • Good morning all and happy Monday, it's officially cold in thr house of LMD as the heating has started to come on at night and first thing in the morning.  I've not adjusted the settings, so it's just because the house is now dropping below the base temp.  Even I have started wearing jumpers which is a rare occurrence!

Hope you all had a good weekend? I managed not to spend any money at all this weekend and we still had a great few days. The only spend was grocery shopping which is budgeted for so doesn't count.  Today will also be a NSD as I have a very busy day and no plans this evening other than cleaning and laundry.

I have started to build a Christmas gift list so I know what I am buying for friends and family. I won't start buying until my sealed pot is opened though as it funds my Christmas spending but I do like to have a plan. I'm a stickler for having it all done by 1st Dec (bought and wrapped) and that's when I post my Christmas cards too so I can just relax and enjoy the build up to Christmas.

Here's me waffling away and Ive not even mentioned my payments today... £10 each this morning to the sealed pot and the EF, mainly because of the NSDs I've been having... A very low key month so far!

I've still got £5+ pending in Prolific so I will try and check that later... I am also due £8 hitting the bank from Vinted at some point and that will be sent to the sealed pot too.

    That's it from me

  • I found a great free app last year to track who I am buying presents for, ideas for presents and also count up the full scary amount !!
Its called Christmas Gift List tracker and is pink with a white ribbon wrapped present logo if you are on iphone.
It’s fantastic as I buy throughout the year and can keep an eye on what I have already got

I just can't bring myself to spend like I used to, so it goes to savings instead :D  the one exception being travel, I love my holidays, can't get enough!

Oooh thank you, I just have a tab on my trusty spreadsheet but I think an app would be handy. I'll have a look at lunchtime.
