The Sabbatical is a result of being once (or thrice) bitten, twice shy. Having been made redundant a number of times, my Sabbatical target is 3 months worth of wages to be a buffer in case that should happen again. I will be making a start on that once the EF has reached £1k.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25715 -
Good morning and happy blummin' Friday to you all! It's forecast to be another scorcher today so take care in the heat everyone.
I have sent £5 to the EF today as part of my PAD and it'll be another NSD for me. It was too hot to sleep properly last night so I'm very tired today, no rest for the wicked though, I have a busy day again to end the week. I did an early morning survey on Prolific today but not able to cash out yet, there's £6+ in there though waiting to be approved. No other free money available at the moment.
Nothing else to update on, I'm off to the gym tonight after work and then off to stay with family this weekend as we are heading to the coast tomorrow for the day... must remember to pack the sunscreen.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Glad you had a good holiday. I’ve been back from Zante for a couple of days and very happy to come back to a heatwave 😎 Enjoy your day at the coast.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Goood morning and happy sunny Monday to you all. I had a lovely day at the coast, didn't spend as much as I had budgeted and had a little bingo win which has been sent to the sealed pot today. I also filled my last cash envelope yesterday. September only has a few planned events so we should be OK this month on the money front.
I went to the gym early this morning and got that out of the way. It's much cooler in the mornings so going early is definitely the best thing to do.
Today will be a NSD for me, and to be honest I have no spending plans until Saturday when I'm off out with hubby so it will be a very quiet week. Some of the books I ordered have arrived so most of the evenings I will have my nose buried in a book. Not the worst way to spend my time
That's all from me. I hope everyone had a fab weekend and that you enjoyed your holoiday in Zante @Sun_Addict

Just managed a Prolific cash out of £13.02 which I have sent to the sealed pot and I have also sent another £10 to the EF.

Good morning! The rain has arrived here and it's definitely refreshing, the only bad thing is that I need to have the office light on and I'm fairly certain spiders will be looking for refuge
Just sorted my budget and we are still looking good for the rest of the month. My PAD included £5 to the EF and I'm being quite good at transferring other savings to the higher interest Monzo pot, I still keep a strict record of what is where as the menopause means my memory is foggier than a pea-souper.
Will be keeping an eye on Prolific today, I have almost £ awaiting approval so I'd like a survey to push it over the minimum mark.
Not much else happening in terms of money. We are starting to plan for the big holiday now so hubby has sorted the airport parking and lounge, and I need to do some research for trips to book. It will give me something constructive to do whilst I eat lunch, rather than scroll social media.
Hope you all have a lovely day
