Our flight next Wednesday is 06.25 so will need to set the alarm for 2am 😱 We always book into the airport lounge so have already covered airport spends. It’s worth it not to have to queue up.

It’s tough getting up so early but worth it to be there for lunchtime. I guess we’ll all sleep well that night we travel 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • It will definitely be worth the 2am alarm @Sun_Addict. We would normally book airport lounge but I’m going with my sister and she is tea-total so when we looked at it, it wasn’t really worth it.

Today is my final NSD before I go away. I’m back in 31st so may perhaps squeeze another in but I’m not holding my breath.

PAD was £41 today, but another clumsy entry but £4 to the EF and I also filled my £38 envelope. I have some balance still pending on Prolific, could be nice to get that cashed out before I go away.

That’s all from me. Another very busy day ahead trying to get things boxed off. Then after work I’m gonna try and get some sleep.

Not sure if I will be updating when I’m away or just PADding, will see how I get on and whether my updates are diary worthy.
    Have great Tuesdays everyone

Your EF is coming along well. That is one thing on my list for today when I do my budget later....more to the EF. Just seems like life is a constant round of people wanting money lately though....lol.  Mortgage up! Energy tariff up! Groceries up!   Petrol seems to be on the up again!  But not DH's wages....lol

Costs are just becoming bonkers, we have also noticed the price of fuel going back up and not by just a few pence either.  Our energy seems to have gone down, but I am not complaining and we are building up sone credit for the winter.

I've just managed to cash £8.54 from Prolific and that has been sent to the sealed pot, which is now less than £50 away from the £3k mark. I'll be adding the 1p challenge money for September on Friday so that will see it go over.

I do need to update the signature, it's not as easy on here as it used to be on the old layout.

  • Good morning all, I hope you're all well :)

I am back from my holiday feeling refreshed and ready to start saving for the next one :D to be honest I'd like to BOOK another one too... It's an extremely busy day today as I need to catch up on work from the last week, and I also have a lot of meetings.  Part of me wishes I had booked another day off to get through the holiday washing.

In terms of finances, I haven't spent as much as I budgeted so I was able to pop £200 back into my savings which was great. The EF has been growing by £3 a day and I've added £3 today too. I do need to update my signature, but I will have to do that later on as I need to get back to work.

At least it's only a 2 day work week for me this week :)

  • Thank you both, yes we had a lovely time and it was very relaxing. More so than when I am with my hubby as he never wants to sit still.

  • Good morning, I am a little confused today as yesterday felt like Monday so i have to keep telling myself it's Friday!  I'm sure I will remember not to set the alarm tonight though.

As today's the 1st of the month. the accounts have been a bit battered this morning. Hubby is paid on Thursday next week though (he is 4-weekly) so at least the bills account will be bolstered then. I've filled my £44 envelope today, and added £3 to the EF. It will be a NSD for me, the first for September and I have set myself a goal of 19 NSD's this month. Should be achievable as we only have 2 planned events, but you never know what life can throw at you.

Nothing much happening on the extra cash front, Prolific seems slow, I even checked it whilst I was laid on the sun lounger but aside from a few profile questions it was quiet.  I have £5 in there split between approved and pending so i will see when that becomes available.

So, that's pretty much it from me. Another busy day at work beckons
Have a great Friday, and weekend!

  • Good luck with the 19 NSDs. I haven't been doing too well on them, but have decided on 15 again this month and determined to do it this time.
