  • Well, today is direct debit day…. Huge PAD made which included £3 to the EF as usual.

The dog woke me at 4:45am so I decided to get a gym session in early and I was there for 6am when it opened. To be honest I much prefer going in the mornings than evenings. The dog is now snoring his head off and I need to get a shower before starting work… typical 😂

Today will be a NSD for me. No plans now I’ve been to the gym. Just housework later.

    Hope you’re all well

I prefer exercising first thing too. It's nice to get it out of the way.  My bank account always gets annihilated on the 1st of the month 😆

Quite depressing to view the accounts after the 1st 😂

That's excellent, 9 in a day. I've had 1 so far today, but some of the other is finally approving

Lovely future plans… I’m daring to start thinking about life beyond credit payments now! I much prefer morning exercise too, don’t give myself time for excuses!  :D

  • Good morning everyone and happy hump day.  It's miserable weather here today and it looks set for the rest of the week :(  I think I missed the 3 days of Summer we had in late May.

Today I have sent £3 to the EF as my PAD but it's not a NSD.  Whilst waiting for the gym to open this morning I did some holiday clothes shopping, and as it's now a spendy day I figured I would try and get everything I needed at once so I haven't done yet :D  It's planned spending so I don't feel too bad, I don't spend a lot on clothes and such so I don't mind buying some for holidays.

Gym-med again this morning, I'm doing 6-7am so that I can get back for shower and breakfast before work. It seems to be panning out OK and I think an hour a day is fair for my level of fitness. One of the PT's drew me up a plan and it seems to be OK. I can increase my weights incrementally too and the fancy app/machines track my progress and check off that I've done it... no cheating haha!

I've done a few surveys on Prolific this morning, yesterday was quiet so I'm hoping for a few more today... I've £4.76 approved and £16.80 pending... it's definitely the best survey site in my opinion.

That's it from me in terms of updates, so I'm taking my coffee back to the home office!

Well done on doing the gym every morning. It's nice to have a routine and keep to a schedule.

I'm hoping to keep it up as I think it will soon become a habit.

£5.66 just cashed out of Prolific and sent to the sealed pot :). I have also filled my £41 envelope

Just had a catch up on your diary and your rental property/retirement plans seem lovely! When you're all set up I'll definitely be booking to stay whilst it's an Airbnb, I've not been to Wales in decades, but the views are definitely stunning and I love the Welsh accent. And I'd also love to retire by the coast, but the thought of changing doctors, hospitals and mental health NHS trust makes me too anxious to take the leap.

The gym sounds like it's going very well and your savings are coming along nicely too. I'm still 2 years away from being debt free, but I'm daring to begin dreaming of what a future with no debt repayments and healthy savings looks like. Still jealous of all you Prolific people as I've been on their waiting list since June 2022 and still not heard a pip out of them 🤦🏾‍♀️.

  • Thanks Keedie, I finally feel like I'm living for myself rather than living under my debts. It's nice to make plans but we all know how real life can get in the way and scupper even the best laid plans.  So we will see... it certainly won't be soon given the interest rates and the need to save a deposit.

It's a NSD for me today, I am on leave tomorrow for my sister's birthday but she's not decided what she wants to do yet (!) so I am going to stay over at hers tonight and we can spend the day however she feels tomorrow.

My PAD was £27.67 to various places, including £6.77 from Prolific to the sealed pot.
Gym was hard this morning, my training plan is based on 3x a week so covers all body area workouts. If I'm going to go every day I think I will need another PT session to break these down so I don't permanently feel like I've bee hit by a car. LOL

    Have a great day all
