  • Just managed to cash £8.63 from Prolific so I have sent that to the sealed pot. I've also filled my No.52 envelope today.

  • Good morning. A bit later than usual but I've been busy this morning and I've just sat down with a cuppa. Weather is miserable here this morning and it's set for the day :(

Its another NSD for me today, I may go to the gym after work but will see how I feel, I've been a bit off lately and not sure if it's the start of the summer cold that's going round.  I've sent £3 to the EF today and also managed a £14.40 cash out from Prolific which has pushed my sealed pot over the £2k mark - outstanding :)

That's pretty much it from me, I've not really lost any more weight lately, even though I have been choosing to eat healthy options which is quite frustrating really. Any tips welcomed :D

    Have good days guys

  • Hi all - no real updates today. It's another NSD and I've sent £3 to the EF. Work is manic at the moment and I'm feeling drained at the end of each day. I am looking forward to the weekend and some down-time.  I have 6 days to go until pay day and I can add some more to savings and pay more off the holidays. :)

I’m no expert on weight loss or weight loss tips LMD. What I would remind you though is thatit’s a bit like a debt reduction journey, and there will be ups, downs and plateaus. The main thing is you are travelling in the right direction with it.

I also don't have any weight loss tips as I need to lose some myself, but AntoMac is right, there will be ups and downs and times when things stagnate. But a lot of the debt free journey and path to being healthier, is very similar in that it's a marathon and not a sprint, and as long as you're going in the right direction, that's all that counts.

Congratulations on your sealed pot, that is a phenomenal amount that you've saved. Very impressive. 🤗.

Just lurking as I do and I note the comments re- weight loss.
I've not long finished my weight loss journey from 200lb to 130lbs, I found the app Libra absolutely excellent to monitor the descent down to my goal weight. Screenshot attached, you can see many-a plateau in this snapshot. I found them really offputting at first, I also found that increased sodium intake spiked my weight for anything up to several days!

My method was just eating below my TDEE. It worked. As it happened trusting the process is great advice! Worth noting as you lose weight, your maintenance calories drops slightly too.
Good luck moving forward, and congratulations on your £2k sealed pot!

Wow! That’s an amazing achievement, and proof that anything is possible. You must feel, and look, like a completely different person

Thanks everyone, you're right that there will be ups and downs and I need to get my head around that. @LeeXenon you've done incredibly well and thanks for the tip on sodium as that could be a big contributor for me.  I will try and keep that in mind when making food choices. I will also look at the app you suggested (clever name :) ).  I think I have just been in a low mood lately which isn't really like me, could be the weather!

I have sent £3 to the EF as my PAD today, today won't be a NSD as I need to pop out at lunch to get some bits and we are off to the am-dram theatre tonight with some friends. I have already hit my target for this month though so that's OK as we still have a week to go.

Prolific has been quiet again lately, but I will still be keeping an eye out for studies today.
    Hope you're all well
