Mine is definitely instant as I have withdrawn from it twice since I opened it in March and the money transferred straight across to my main Monzo balance in the blink of an eye. 🙂 Maybe you could test it with a few pounds and see how it goes.
Thanks for that, I will probably check it out then x

  • So, I've already had a productive morning, laundry is half done and I have investigated the Monzo saver - you're right @lashie it is instant so I have sorted that out this morning and will be getting interest on the EF money.  My plan will be to save the £1000 in there, and then keep going to build my sabbatical so I can still take advantage of the decent interest rate.

Today may or may not be a no spend... I am at the opticians this morning, the sight check is free because I am in their monthly contact lens scheme but it's been 2 years since my new glasses so I am expecting I will need a new prescription. Likely to be varifocal this time too (I'm getting old!) which will be expensive.  I would be reluctant to choose new frames without someone's opinion though so unlikely they will be ordered today.

I have been getting bad migraines recently, more frequent than usual and a trip to the GP yesterday has resulted in a referral to Neurology at the hospital. More scans no doubt - oh the joy!

So, I will report back later (or maybe tomorrow) on the NSD, but today's PAD was £3 to the EF.
Hope you all have a lovely day

They might pick up at the optician if anything is amiss with eye pressure causing your migraines. My DIL has recently had to have fluid drained from her brain for the same reason. Fingers crossed all is ok 🤞

Thanks SA, the opticians found no issues so that was a positive. I hate that pressure test though, it always makes my eyes stream.

No new glasses needed though so that means a NSD after all :)

Excellent, glad to hear you got the same account and can earn earn some interest. I’ve made a little over £30 since March. Better in my pocket 😝
  • Morning and happy Sunday :) I am on annual leave tomorrow as I'm off out with a friend so it doesn't actually feel like Sunday to me.  I have quite a few jobs to do today, I need to vacuum the car and I have been putting it off for ages so that's my next job after this update. Laundry is already on the line and I am making the most of this glorious weather.

Today's PAD was £3 to the EF and £2.53 in change to the sealed pot.  It's a NSD for me again today, nowhere to go and spend.

I did a Y-live survey yesterday, and realised that I have had quite a lot of them recently so I checked my account and my balance is £45! Just £5 more to do before they send payment... £24 has been done since 1st June!  Hopefully they will keep coming like that.  Nothing on Prolific at the moment, it's all pending approval.

Think that's it from me. Hope you all have a lovely day

  • Good morning! Hope you're all doing OK?

I've managed a Prolific payout this morning of £7.06 which I have sent to the sealed pot. I have also sent £3 to the EF. It's not a NSD today as I'm off out for the day with my friend, but I should get a few more this week.

Nothing else to update on really, have fab days!

  • Thanks @AntoMac, it was a nice day but exceptionally hot! Looks set for the same today, but I'll be working instead of having fun and catching up with friends.

So, a bit to update on today.  Prolific payout this morning of £7.50 which I have sent to the sealed pot, I have filled my 24 envelope with money from yesterday and when I checked the joint account this morning we have indeed both received the £100 fairer share payment from Nationwide which is fantastic.  It's our wedding anniversary later this month so we will use some of it to pay for the meal we have booked and then the rest will just sit in the joint account.

It's not a NSD for me today, the car is in for the MOT. Having done less than 4k miles since the last one I'm hoping there will be no issues but I'm very aware that little use can be just as bothersome as overuse. So we will see. It's at the local garage for the day so I'm not sure what time they will fit it in.

Oh, I've also sent £3 to the EF :)
Have a wonderful sunny day everyone!
