I spent today putting up the Xmas decs, whilst DH played golf then sat on the bed watching yout@be. Guess which one had a stressful day. Already told him that Im having a chilled weekend and not to ask me if I have plans. Wow you are doing well with the book reading. I am determined to finish my current book, then start on the one waiting in the wings, by the end of this week.

Also it will take me about 10 mins every night going around switching off all the Xmas lights.

You can get some remote controlled socket adaptors in B&M, I noticed them on Tuesday and thought they would be great for the xmas dec lights!

You deserve a chilled weekend after all your hard work! Time with a book and a baileys coffee maybe?

Happy Thursday (my Fri-yay) to you all :) It's been a busy week and I am determined to try and box everything off today so I can actually relax on my day off tomorrow and take time for myself... that's the plan anyway!

It's a NSD for me today, I am at home all day and there's nothing I need to buy. I need to call the garage and get the car booked in for service next week if they can get me in, I keep remembering to do it when they're closed - typical!

PAD today was just the £5 to the sabbatical, nothing exciting to report in the accounts really. I am hoping to finish my book either today or at the latest tomorrow. It's a good one and if I can gt in the 'zone' I will fly through it I think. (the zone being in a trance like state and ignoring real life going on around me :D )

    That's it from me - off to tackle inbox-mountain - again :(

  • Good morning and happy Monday! I've had a nice no-spend weekend and the F1 and footy results went my way so I am in a good mood today, despite the darkness outside and the amount of work in my in-box.  We also put the Christmas decorations up and they look so cosy so I think that's helping.

It's a NSD for me today, no plans until tomorrow, I need to update my budget now as I've not done that yet this morning - I feel a bit higgledy-piggledy today :)

My PAD today was £5 to the sabbatical as usual and I'm still on book No.72 Will try and get a few chapters in at lunch and then some more after work.

That's all from me, I hope you've all had a nice weekend!

  • Good morning! I hope you're all doing OK? I didn't sleep very well last night for some reason and today I am very bleary eyed and slow to think.

I'm out tonight too so it will be a late one and I'm working tomorrow so I can only hope I get a better night's sleep tonight. It's not a NSD for me today, I also have plans on Thursday for my day off, and then the dreaded car service (and new brakes) is on Friday so that will be a very spendy day. I have no clue how much that will cost!

I did finish my book last night, so I be starting a new one today, these next 3 Christmas ones are by the same author and I've read hers before so I'm hoping to be able to really get stuck in :)

PAD was just the £5 to the sabbatical, dice rolls tomorrow!
That's all from me this morning
    Have terrific Tuesday's!

  • Well, it was indeed a late night last night but we had so much fun it was such a good night :)  Definitely tired this morning and I would quite happily go back to bed for a week...

It's a NSD for me today, I didn't spend as much as I had imagined last night either so that was a bonus, I've popped my change into the sealed pot already.  PAD also included £5 to the sabbatical and £61 in dice rolls to my £10k saver.

Still on book 73, although I will get some read this evening... I'm on chapter 7 already and I'm enjoying it so far.

I think that's all I have to update you on. Just me and my year end tiredness :dizzy:
    Catch you all later

  • Sorry I've been AWOL, it's a difficult time of year for me so I have unfortunately been withdrawing a little.

Rest assured I am still here. Still PADding, still saving.

Keep going LMD. One day at a time. This can be a difficult time of year for a lot of people for many and varied reasons. You’re maintaining your positive money habits so that’s one win. 🏆

Thanks Ant, I'm still not quite myself so I'm going to take it steady and not put any pressure on myself.

Rest assured I am doing OK but just not in the right mindset at the moment.  I'm still PADding as usual :)
