I'm so very sorry to hear that, Apple. You're in my thoughts.
Thanks, Starlight. Yes, it is very frustrating. If I could just speak to an actual human being it could probably all be sorted out in a couple of minutes.
So yesterday:- Bedding changed. I'm having to do that every couple of days because I'm getting so hot at night
- Washing done and dried outside
- "Garden" all tidied up. It's looking very cheery
- Outside door and .all washed and porch cleaned (after a fashion). It really needs patio cleaner and a good scrub but that can wait for a bit
- Visit from the Boy last night
- The Boy fitted our new toilet seat. Took him minutes. Would have taken me hours!
- Our weekly Chinese carry out treat (The Boy and I that is)
- Early to bed and another few chapters of my book

Shall I do June? I need to sort myself out so if any of what I have to say is useful to others at the same time. Tried out several J
words last week but found I'd already used several and other people had used more - unless inspiration strikes I may go with 'By Jove, it's June/ Jupiter'5 -
Sorry. seem to have missed out a page. Go for it Starlight at Sea, I can throw in quotes and stuff (my ankle is aching so I'm just lying on the bed for now - will probably be propelled downstairs by the need for food and/ or .drinks).
Big hugs apple, it's so hard, however it happens (someone on another thread couldn't reach a parent on the phone and went round to find he had slipped away whilst nodding on his chair).
I've found my end of April/ beginning of May list (and it's mostly still current. It includes setting out my outfit for the baby's Baptism with notes on cutting off the labels and packing my handbag. My elephant list is also on there. I think I ordered the wood and trellis for the back wall so I could stain it on the long Easter weekend and now we're approaching the fourth long BH weekend and it's still not done - I need more ways of moving things (quickly and easily).4 -
What a beautiful day today. Warm and sunny
- Went for a short walk
- Did the shopping (such as it was)
- Donated to the food bank
- Took loads out of the freezer
- Made a fish pie for dinner tomorrow
- Threw some bendy vegetables, chicken, white wine and assorted spices into the slow cooker and it's made a more than acceptable casserole for when I don't feel like cooking
- Scones for afternoon tea. Nearly used up now
- Picked up the rubbish on the ground in the bin store. One of the men upstairs doesn't quite understand that you are supposed to put your rubbish in the bin and not beside it!
- Main pay day. Budget and banking done
- Submitted the meter reading
- Wrapped some birthday presents ready for next month. I find that quite relaxing
- Some of Himself's friends were out for a drink and phoned to invite us to join them. Not quite up to it mentally but it was lovely to speak to them all

Wow I’m tired. An early finish for me today at work after a busy week. Went for a run in the rain which was surprisingly nice and when I came home I repotted my ficus plant and did bf’s shoulders with the massage gun, but now I’m exhausted! It’s pay day as well so I fancy looking at budgets but cba to look at the screen anymore…. Bf and I will go for a drink in the barrio. Shall not be an nsd.

Everyone has seen the dentist and does not have to go back until December - no work to be done! Got there and found out DS1 was supposed to be there as well, so sent the other 3 in, rang him up and said 'Oi!' and he got there on the bus just as I was leaving with DS2/3/4 . Job done. Dragged them all round Mr T's just out of sheer badness on my part. My shopping ended up costing £8, with vouchers and coupons and money off doodahs. They all spent considerably more on their fizzy pop and tat.Happy Half Term!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Had a bit of a wobbly morning. I'm really worried about Tuesday's appointment. But I spent a while sitting in the sun talking to my next door neighbour who has been having treatment for lung cancer for the past year and is about to return to work even though his treatment is still ongoing. It was so good to speak to someone who actually understood the mental anguish of this. We actually ending up in fits of laughter comparing notes about what you really want to say to people who think they know what they're talking about when they really don't. It was good (if very wicked) to laugh about it.
So I haven't really done too much. Actually if I'm honest. I haven't done anything apart from make mushroom omelettes for lunch.
Promise I'll be a bit more productive tomorrow. xxx

@Toni'sfriend it sounds like you've been very productive by chatting to your neighbour and getting stuff off your chest!
I forgot to post yesterday, I set my alarm nice and early for the gym but was so achey from the past two days' workouts that I knew it was a bad idea immediately, so I went for a short walk and did some yoga stretches instead! Work was manic, I was helping a colleague who was under the kosh, I was going to come home early and do some admin but stayed with her instead. Never a dull moment in our line of work.
Today I was on call this morning so de-scaled the coffee machine, deep cleaned the dishwasher, got some washing on and out to dry, and cooked some lunches. Managed to get to the gym for boxing class and then went and sat outside to enjoy some sunshine. My hay-fever hasn't kicked in yet this year, am very surprised!
Have had an early bath and put the washing away. Nothing very MSE achieved today but loads ticked off my to do list for the weekend so more time to relax on my proper days off.Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24
