Thank you, Everyone. The planning session was fine. Only took 25 minutes in total including the scan. I'm all tattooed up now. Actually, it's more like three little freckles which you wouldn't notice unless you knew where to look.
So today's wins:- Another appointment, Another step forward
- A walk. Home to station and station to hospital and reverse. 2 and a half miles.
- YS creme brulee and lemon cheesecake in Aldi. Naughty, Naughty but brulee is my absolute favourite
- Something from freezer for dinner. Think it might be a beef satee (no definite data as Himself has not labelled it
- Book finished. Another one to start tonight.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
@Toni'sfriend. As you say another step forward.

Unfortunately not, Beanie. The questions I have are not to do with the radiotherapy. I've left messages with the Breast Care Team twice this week but no response. I don't know what's going on with them but as you can imagine it makes you think "If they won't talk to me what are they not telling me". So I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4

You’re amazing @Toni'sfriend!! I hope you can talk to the team soon.
Yesterday was a good day, nice chats with colleagues and managed to eat some work frogs. I think the fear might be lessening its hold on me. Sat in the park at lunchtime and did some spanish grammar stuff, was too hot when the sun was out and too cold when it went in, but it was lovely to have my feet planted in the grass.Lost my NSD due to small spend for soil as the ficus plant i have on my desk at work is dropping its leaves so I decided to bring it home and repot it.
grateful for funny colleagues, for the lovely park opposite the office, for feeling motivated.Student loan £5655

Oh dear! DHs car is in for mot- it failed on two tiny things so it will be back home this afternoon. So my car decided that the handbrake was not optional and decided it would not move. DH managed to convince it to go forward and dropped me at the dentist while muttering 'I can smell clutch! Something is wrong! ' Dropped it back where they fitted a new tyre last week just in case, erm ... something something brake shoe .. something something brake fluid... moved / kinked/ disconnected during fitting of said tyre. Got the bus home. On the plus side - nothing to be done at dentist - on the minus side £25 for a lion tamer tribute act. Stuck her head In my mouth, took it out, you are fine. Round of applause. Ta-dah,!
Going to end up being spendy with cars and not an NSD.Thanks be to the Emergency FundPart Deux - the Afternoon. The FastFit Tyre place did not admit it had done anything at all to muff it up, but have fixed it free of charge and it is now working again. Yay!DH was wandering around muttering about it being a tight end of the month because of his car, mutter mutter mutter, went to transfer some money from his savings account, and saw his Publisher has paid him his advance, so now he is capering about the place being all happy.I told him not to buy any more ribbons or sugar mice until payday. So far - winning!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Oh f0xh0les, your posts do make me laugh. You just seem to find a positive in everything.
So today I have been thoroughly spoiled:- Had coffee and panettone for breakfast
- Himself made me a delicious chicken salad for lunch
- Some tops that Himself bought for me (I chose, he paid) being delivered. They are lovely and will see me through the summer
- I need to lose weight but a friend gave me some good advice. "Stop fixating on it (you have enough to deal with just now). Eat as healthily as you can, but don't deprive yourself and concentrate on doing things that will make you feel better now and make you look better later on"
- So following on from that I've been slathering on the body butter, covering the hands in lotion and looking after the facial skin
- Something from freezer for dinner. I know what it is because I labelled it. A kind of garlic flat bread that I'm going to tart up with cheese, herbs and fresh tomatoes.
- My best friends texting and making me laugh
- Started another book
- Best of all. A big hug from my ten year old friend who lives two doors down
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Hi turtles
Quiet couple of days but quiet is good in my book! Yesterday was a NSD, busy and long day at work, didn't get home until well after 7pm. But on the plus side I managed a good walk in the morning in the sunshine.
Today I got another walk in first thing, then worked from home. Was able to get a load of washing done plus the bedsheets washed and changed. First load of washing is dry already and hopefully the bedsheets will be almost dry shortly. Walked to the gym after work and had a good workout.
Got paid from my main job today, just waiting for part-time job pay to hit tomorrow and then I'll finalise my budget. I only did one shift so it's probably pointless waiting as it'll be a pretty small amount but I'll wait regardless!5 -
Oh! I didn't even close the curtains until after 9.30 last night. Think of all the light bulb hours we are saving!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, nearly fell asleep in the bath!
Did yoga before breakfast. Work went ok, then went for a walk afterwards. Bumped into a friend I've not seen this year, so stood for an hour putting the world to rights. Needed a hot chocolate when I got home to warm my hands up! Did a sewing job after tea, then had a long bath. A woman at work told me about jigsaw coffee tables. Had a look in the evening, & a jigsaw board with a cover, went into my basket. It slides under the settee when not being used, so perfect fit my tiny house 😃 plus I had some vouchers, so only needed to pay for a third of it. Something I can soon do off my happy list 😍
Didn't sleep well last night, felt quite queasy when I got up, so just did a few stretches. Work was ok, though pupil doing all they could to torment me! Somehow managed to stay calm & ignore it, though VERY difficult at times! Went for a walk with another friend afterwards, she gave me s bunch of bluebells from her garden. Unpicked a coat zip & sewed in a new one. Sold some of DS2's books on local page. NSD#13
Grateful for seeing a hare yesterday, & a pheasant today (+ managing not to run over either of them!), chats with friends, time to colour, soon being able to start a jigsaw & that you lot are having a better day!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Massive apologies for my absence, hugs and good vibes for everyone. Not much happening here. I wake early, have my pills, sometimes eat and have a shower or a wash and at some point I start to drift off back to sleep. Wake up again, continue from where I was up to, force myself downstairs driven by the need for food or drink. Do a bit of work whilst I'm down there - a lot more work if DS3 has gone to bed and I can have the couch. Continue until I need my afternoon nap. More work if possible and then ready for bed.
I know the sleep is a symptom/ side effect but I was slightly worried (not very worried as I've no choice about it and fretting won't help) but yesterday was a bit better. I was awake soon after 4 am, did the pills etc, then slept until nearly 8 am. Downstairs early as DS3 wasn't there. Didn't need an afternoon nap (although I had a long rest on the couch) and managed nearly 4 hours of 'work', including getting to the end of the row 3 times - brought the paper bin back and then went twice with a bucket load of weeds for the un-emptied green bin (need to get on to them about that but will give them until noon first (the paper bin was only collected late afternoon, they may not have had time to do the second round with the green collection).
Did lots of stones collecting. There were several piles/ buckets/ sacks I'd collected over the past week or so but hadn't ahd the energy required to put all the small quantities together. I've had to start a new row as the nettles in next door's yard are back to shoulder height (growing through the brick pile) and I can't get through the gate space safely (and I'm not tackling the nettles again this year). But a quietly satisfying day. The worst of the side effects have abated but still lots to slow me down.
I really haven't done much with this month's challenge, determined plodding can only get you so far but I thought I was doing okay with keeping in touch with people. The phone rang at around 5 pm yesterday. I only have 2 people who call regularly and they both phone after my bedtime. It stopped ringing before I got to it (DS3 had requested I move the bag earlier and it was in an awkward spot) but the number looked familiar so I phoned back.
DS2 was asking for the best way of getting in touch with me as I 'haven't been answering messages'. He asked if I wanted to go to his latest graduation in July. I said yes but then asked where it was. Keele University but they are going to take me and bring me back. I asked about the baby's birthday - no formal party but they will see me around then. They are away for the month of June - in Australia (I have a feeling granddad might be being sent home - DS2 said he wasn't a lot of use with the baby when he visited them). I asked about a mother and birthday party (NCT) but as the babies all have their birthdays at roughly the same time they're having one party for them all on a date roughly in the middle.
My phone conked out so I suggested a video conference with him and baby (mum was in the other room) so I got to see her crawling, pulling herself upright and I noticed her teeth. We ended the call as she was getting tired and hungry and then I checked the message DS3 had sent. Grandpuppy had encountered a nasty plant at the park and had sores on his legs. They had to wash him and put antiseptic cream on his sores and used one of darling d-i-l's old pyjama tops to stop him licking the cream off. They ahd ordered him a pair of dinosaur pjs so I have photos of him in the make do top and the new pjs. He looks rather pleased with himself.
Explained about ankle and medication complications, said I did still want to meet up with them at some point but would wait another week or 2 to give things more time to stabilise.Did a tiny bit more outside then came to bed.
Things to be grateful for
- getting more done (just as well as any prospect of help had disappeared)
- trying a different technique with my foot and it working out well
- making some meals from stores (not actually 'cooking' much yet)
- time to rest (this sleep isn't from exhaustion or worry, if I let myself relax into it, it's really rather wonderful
- good books, good series, good films
- I found my purse (only took 10 days). I knew I had it when I went to the hospital (11th) but couldn't think which bags I had beside the yellow one - anyway my black purse was inside a large matt black bag (which just turned up although I have been peeling back layers of rubbish and random possessions as often as possible.
