Morning turtles,
NSD yest for me. Needed rice but bf paid for it and he treated me to a sparkly water while we sat on a terrace and waited for his friend to arrive. I left for home just in time before a storm came in. Opened the balcony door in the kitchen and spent the rest of the afternoon cooking while marvelling at how quickly the sky changed between sunshine and showers.Tried a new recipe for breakfast egg “muffins” (egg and veg and a bit of cheese baked in muffin tins) they looked nice when they came out, let’s hope they taste nice too. I marinated tofu ready for dinner and made a batch of energy balls then helped bf prep dhal in the instant pot when he came home.Read a long sample of a book I want to buy online and in the eve we put face masks on, which reminded us of the film “the Mask” which we then found and watched. Laughed at some very adult jokes that we clearly missed when we watched it as kids. Thoroughly enjoyable!!
grateful for finally trying new recipes, for sunshine in between the storms, for old films

Quick check in to report a planned spend day, had what I call my "maintenance massage", £30 spent. No other spends as when I popped to the pharmacy my prescription wasn't in yet. Had a lovely walk this morning in the local fields before starting work, which was a gorgeous start to the day and the week!5

Highlight of my day has been finding a little moth which has taken up residence in the kitchen. A Cinnebar according to Google. Black with beautiful bright red markings. Absolutely gorgeous, Never seen one before.
So today (and it wasn't more than I could manage)- Did the washing and dried it outside on the line because it's been a lovely, sunny day
- Washed and dried all the cushion covers of which there are quite a few
- Dusted and tidied the living room
- Cleaned all my candle holders. That was a bit of a job!
- Meatball dish in the slow cooker
- Himself made a smoked salmon salad for lunch (yum yum)
- Scones, cream and jam this afternoon (well, the cream needs using up. That's my excuse)
- Just had a conversation with the four year old. Names and colours of all the plants in the pots
- Spent the afternoon watching Judgement at Nuremburg. A great classic film although the subject matter if a bit trying
So tomorrow is the planning meeting for my radiotherapy. I'm sure it will be fine but I'm feeling a bit abandoned because the Breast Care Team are not returning my calls. I phoned Friday morning but nothing so far. They told me to phone anytime if I was at all concerned. I have some questions, They've been really good so far but suddenly I can't speak to anyone and it's not as if I've been pestering them. Oh well. I'll just have to manage. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -

Cinnabar moths are lovely, like Dracula's petticoats. Moths scare the bejaysus out of me if they are in the house. I am a domestic moth wimp. DH is a spider and wasp wimp, so we balance each other out - we each rescue the other in a very manly non judgemental fashion
We both squeal like imbeciles first though.
Today was not a NSD as I fell into Mr M's at bread reduction time. I have rather a lot of bakery loaves for 18p - 30p in my freezer, and my bread bin. I shall not starve. Lunch tomorrow is beans on wholemeal toast. It is going to be fabulous. Cheap tinned pineapple was also available for the first time in AGES, so stocked up on that and peaches and ys bananas. We are going on a healthier eating kick while the weather holds.Finished the second Thursday Murder Club book this afternoon, I have asked for book 3 for my birthday as it is £5, and therefore within the price range of DS3 who has been mithering me for a gift idea. Then I can put book 4 on the C-word list.Swallowed two whole frogs today. They had been on the list for a very long time. Pouf! Gone! Yay!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hi Today I am grateful for successful and very varied day. Did a software course, came home early and ate my dinner peacefully in the garden, the shepherds pie I cooked last night, picked up and fed French bus driver who's staying this week, went to my students exhibition which they have done a fab job putting together in a local community space.
Tomorrow is an other lone one. But I think I can do that one too. Once I get to Wednesday evening it's all downhill (hopefully).
And a NSD day today as well as only paid for parking which could not be helped.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hope your ERD went well @Shrewbie. Sending positive vibes for tomorrow @Toni'sfriend, glad you've had a better day, & sounds like a lot of others have had a good day too 😃
NSD#12
Did yoga first thing, then spent time styling my hair after its cut on Saturday. Getting used to the new length & felt it looked half decent when I left the house. A good day at work, the middle chunk was at a secondary school, but all went ok. Couldn't go for a walk afterwards today, as was expecting a customer to call by. Pottered about tidying whilst I waited. Binge watched last week's STV series while I sewed the man's trousers (2 pairs, plus 12 buttons for braces! American tourist), then dropped GF home.
Grateful for a good day, a slightly tidier space, ticking another job off the listUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Thinking of you @Toni'sfriend
Well done on those frogs @f0xh0les!!
Thanks @Thrifty_Taylor my appraisal went really well, they’re still really happy with me - I bring “positive energy” apparently and I’m improving at the rate I should be. Team members said some nice things about me too… so that was lovely!
yesterday was an NSD. Ate my “egg cup” for brekkie which was surprisingly nice (bf liked them too- a win for the new recipes!) the work gym was busy at lunchtime so I went outside to do some jogging and skipping instead. Did some floor exercises and then lay in the grass for a bit. Managed to eat well. No frogs though…. 😂
Grateful for a good appraisal, for lovely colleagues, for new recipes turning out well and for having a plan.Student loan £5655
