OK, I bought it and had a look - largely because my next door neighbour is actually opposite me as the houses are side on to the road, so I can see when he has lights on - which is very little compared to me - the house spends a lot of time dark. So I expected his electricity bill to be a fraction of mine.

Firstly, it has me with a supplier I've never been with for gas and the electricity use is quite a chunk more than I actually use.  But interestingly, it has my neighbour using £1,175 of electricity per month.  He must be bitcoin mining or something - no wonder he can't afford to put his lights on as well.

So, I think it needs to be taken with a large pinch of salt.

Yeah, it's complete nonsense. Has me down for 17000KWh per annum when this house hasn't seen more than 12,000KWh over the last 2 years

It’s absolutely spot on with me, very worrying that this info is open for all to see.
  • Mine was about right, one neighbour in a 3 bed semi apparently uses over 33000kwh in electric each year! They have alternative heating too

Not accurate, it's got our gas tarrif wrong for a start, neighbours house empty for 3 months and it says their bills are higher than mine and I'm not light* user.

Might depend if people have working smart meters or give regular readings?

I don't have smart meters, but do religiously give monthly readings (and monitor myself more frequently) and am confident that my billing is accurate.  But they don't even have me with the right supplier, so they can't possibly have correct data.  And I seriously doubt my neighbour is using 10x electricity that I am - I'm already a high user.
