Morning all.
Hope your daughter is recovering well @Abbafan1972 and the hospital can give you some answers.
Congratulations to your niece @bubbs and happy to hear how well your dad's getting on. Let's hope the transition back to his own home goes smoothly as well.
Just seen the update to your signature @beanielou - congrats on being a Forum Ambassador!
Was supposed to be going to see the specialist with my dad today but he called yesterday to say he's tested positive for Covid 😔 So another thing to add to the list to worry about and we're hoping his appointment can be moved to a telephone / virtual one this afternoon as I don't want to lose the momentum we've built up with the hospitals.
Food has been a bit all over the place this week and I've put on half a pound, which could be worse, but I did get in some exercise last week and will continue to try this week too and just be kind to myself.
Breakfast this morning was ff yogurt and blueberries, lunch is some leftover pasta salad I made at the weekend with chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and rocket and dinner tonight may well be a jacket potato with tuna, cheese and a salad.

Congratulations on the safe arrival of the baby @bubbsFirst day back at work, first day home alone, nipped to the kitchen and saw an enormous spider by the washing machine. I tried to vacuum him up (i know I shouldn't) but no idea if I got it or it disappeared?I had a lifelong phobia of spiders and underwent some treatment 3/4 years ago which worked well but I'm a little anxious about this one today. I know the thought of seeing it again is worse than actually seeing it again - on the plus side I'm likely to be giving the kitchen a swerve today 😁Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Congratulations great aunty Bubbs ❤
Hope your daughter is feeling better @Abbafan1972 and you manage to get a telephone call this afternoon @ruby_eskimo🤞
I'm sure you got the spider @annabanana82! I understand your worry though as my youngest brother is exactly the same.
Weekends go in far too quickly for my liking! Another Monday, another WFH day. Plus side is I've two loads of washing out and if the forecasted rain starts, I can nip out and bring it in!
Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries, Skinny syrup (0.5 syns)
L - baked potato, cheese (HEA), loads of salad
D - steak, chips, roasted veg - carrots, onions, mushrooms and green beans
Have a good day everyone!1 -
Half a pound is a tiny gain considering your routine has been all over the place recently @ruby_eskimo. You'll soon see that off.👍🏼 Hope your dad gets his virtual appointment today.
I'm sure the spider is long gone @annabanana82. I suppose it is a bit of a bonus if it keeps you away from the kitchen. 😁
Enjoy your steak @Jellybaby. It's ages since I had that at home or in a restaurant. I must put it on the menu soon. I'm obviously feeling hungry. 😊
Is @Coxy11 back from her walk yet? Haven't seen her around since the 'drowned rat' photo. 🤔
I sliced up the gammon and portioned up the lentil soup that I cooked yesterday. Freezers are looking pretty full now.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S), 2 potatoes (F)
D- sausage casserole (P,S), penne (F)
Syns- Aldi sausages 11 -
Afternoon all, finally got some Wi-Fi but no idea how long it will last!
Have had a quick skim through but not taken it all in but so glad your dad is now home after all that time in hospital @bubbs. He certainly sounds as if he’s much more like his old self.
It’s our 52nd anniversary today so we’re going to have a sharing fish dish for dinner tonight. It’s 4 different fish (none of which we have in the UK), it comes with rice, chips and salad so pretty SW as I’ll mainly have the rice.
It’s so hot we’ve retreated back to our air conditioned room to cool down and have a cup of tea. The temperatures since we arrived have been in the high 30s - it’s the hottest the locals have had it at this time of year.
Well done to all the losers. Don’t worry if you’ve had a gain trust the plan and it will come off again.
