Brilliant news about your dad @bubbs. Delighted for you and the family. 😊🤗
Well done on using the veg for batch cooking curry @slm6002 and even better that it was given to you, very mse.👍🏼 Even better than being syn free, everything but the parsnips is also Speed food. Having at least a third of your menu as Speed food is one of the most important things to make SW work IMO.
I like a Thursday morning WI too @annabanana82 , probably Friday morning would be even better but I like my current consultant so I'm sticking with that group. As I do a syn bank, it suits me to have the rest of the week to balance things out. I prefer lots of syns with something to look forward to at weekends rather than a daily treat. What really matters is that SW works for you. Going tomorrow will get you back into a routine. Good luck! 🤞🏼
I expect it will be difficult to stay on plan when your son's at home @Jellybaby so do your best over the next 12 days (and counting!🤣).
As expected, there was plenty of SW friendly food available last night. I did have a small slice of quiche and some smoked mackerel but other than that just a bit of mayo. I'm just counting a nominal 10 syns for my food diary. I have had a bit of a sore throat for the past week or so. It comes and goes so not sure if I'm coming down with a cold or what. The downside is that I've been sucking throat sweets. They're less than a syn each but they all count. ☹
Roast pork today. I must avoid the crackling. It's so easy for extra syns to creep in!
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, fried eggs, ham (P), baked beans (F)
L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad bits (S)
D- JO roast pork (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- gravy 4?, weekend wine😁0 -

Afternoon all.
I have been absent for a while unfortunately. Daughter had to go to A&E on Tuesday night and she got admitted (they think it's glandular fever, but not sure). She has been discharged after spending a couple of nights in hospital. She is on the mend, but has got an outpatient appointment on Tuesday, which I am going to as well, hopefully will have some answers from the doctors, as she had lots of bloods taken.
I must admit this knocked me for 6, as just recently a lady I know at my meditation group I attend, has just lost her daughter due to cancer (in her 20's). She got diagnosed on the Saturday and then died on the Wednesday morning.
Work is very busy and I'm up to my eye balls in it, but family comes 1st obviously.
I hope everyone is well.
I haven't had the time to catch up on the old thread, or even the latest posts on this one.
Speak soon and I hope everyone is doing well. xxStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £32,226.970 -
Fortunately not long to wait for the outpatient appointment @Abbafan1972. Hope you get positive answers. Keep us posted. 🤗
I've been busy this afternoon. While cooking the pork for dinner, I decided to cook one of the huge gammon joints from Sainsburys. I half boiled it to get stock for soup and then finished it off in the oven while it was on. Soup made and cooling, gammon in the fridge. I'll slice and freeze it tomorrow. 😁0 -
