Your loss is a real bonus after being in Thorpe Park @annabanana82. Well done! 👏👏👏

6 months and counting @Jellybaby! What a great Christmas present! I know what you mean about feeling better getting back on plan. I think I miss vegetables most after a lot of eating out.

I do hope all goes to plan with your dad @ruby_eskimo and that you've survived the trip to the bank. Your BIL wasn't being told what to do @Coxy11. Your intervention was for him to get specialist advice instead of making it up as he goes along. I'm assuming he's not a doctor?? 🤣

You'll be getting good Body Magic walking the dog @bubbs. Hope it's not too painful for you.

You've got a good menu @canvascamper. Most fruit and veg, like your nectarine and onions are just Speed. Free food is mostly carbs like potatoes, rice, pasta and some things like baked beans and most yogurt which SW say doesn't have enough protein in it to count as a Protein food. You do seem a bit low on protein today unless you've had pulses in anything. Not sure what free food was in your salad unless new potatoes or something like that. Have you tried Aldi Plant rosemary and red onion sausages? They're very similar to Linda Mccartney but cheaper and syn free. 😁

    Bon Voyage @joedenise. 🤗

I've batch cooked swede and carrot mash today as had run out of it in the freezer.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- cold pork (P), vegetable hash, pickles (S), potato (F)
D- burgers (P, S), SW chips, peas (F), broccoli, sugar snaps, tomato, mushrooms (S)
    Syns - 0

    Morning all.

Love a good dog picture, hope the early morning walks warm up soon though @bubbs!

Went to the bank last night and they said they couldn't help because we hadn't booked an appointment and they don't have any left before they close.  Could go into more detail about how they had 2 members of staff literally sitting there having a coffee and chatting about how their last 2 appointments had cancelled but then I'll get angry again 🤣  Doesn't help that star week starts today so my hormones are making me feel a little all over the place.

Going to have some branflakes for breakfast in a minute and then quiche and salad for lunch (trying to get my mother to use things up rather than throwing them away...) and dinner I have no idea because I don't know what time I'll get back to my home this evening.

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning all,

Well done on your loss @annabanana82 :)

    Cute doggies @bubbs

SIL was weighed and had bloods taken and was sent home. Has been asked to come in weekly for same. No psych assessment as Dr they saw wasn't qualified. No @maman BIL hadn't completed a 7-year medical degree (or any degree) last time I checked!

My sore throat/cough combo continues. I had the Bliss mallow bar on the train and was nibbling at it when a little piece caught in my throat. OMG cue about 10 minutes of coughing - I thought I was either going to vomit or wet myself. Eyes streaming, people in the carriage offering water and boiled sweets, so embarrassing. I managed to get it under control with lots of nose blowing, coughing and sucking on Jakemans lozenges.

WFH today. I am dropping some cake off to my friend who's mum died. I also need to pop to the garden centre at lunchtime to buy DSis a birthday gift.

    Food today:
    B: Blueberries, Strawberries, mullerlight vanilla - S, 0.5
L: Chilli mackerel, lettuce, cucumber, pickles - Free, S
D: grilled chilli salmon, green veg (will purchase at the garden centre farm shop) - P, S
    HEA - milk
    HEB - skinny bar
    Syns - 0.5

    Morning everyone,

Well done on the loss @annabanana82.  Hope you both feel better soon @beanielou and @Coxy11.

WFH again today and food is always easier on these days but scraping the barrel today!  I'm planning to clean the fridge and freezer tonight before going shopping tomorrow so been using up all the odds and ends. A marathon batch cooking session is also on the cards this weekend.

    Today's plan:
B - last of the f/f Greek yoghurt with fruit salad, skinny syrup (0.5 syns)
L - SW sausage patties (not keen so won't buy again) with salady bits left and pickles
D - possibly beans on toast as DS2 is out

    Have a good day all.

That's really pathetic about the customer service (or lack of) in the bank @ruby_eskimo. Sadly, it's all too typical.

Back in January, we waited weeks for an appointment to open some ISAs as couldn't be done online, and that was offering to travel to three different branches in a 10 mile radius. When they asked for feedback at the end of the appointment, I suggested they were foolish to have launched such an attractive product  and then not matched it with sufficient staff to cope with demand. The response was it was nothing to do with the product as there was always a long waiting list for appointments and some people were waiting until March!  🤣 I really hope you get to spend some time at home over the weekend.

Sorry to hear you're still suffering @Coxy11. Perhaps you should try to see a doctor yourself?🤔 SIL's appointment doesn't sound great shakes. At least she's being monitored but no advice there really?

I did smile at the possibility of beans on toast for your dinner @Jellybaby. You've really come down to earth after all your weeks of wining and dining! 😁

I've done my meal plan and will shop later. It's only about 10 days until we go away so I'm getting conscious of not buying in anything fresh that won't be used up quickly. I'm sticking to plan as much as possible but want to use up the last pack of breaded fish that DH bought. They're really not worth 11 syns! I'd much rather be coming to yours for the salmon @Coxy11.😋

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, eggs (P)
L- sardines (P), salad bits and pickles (S)
D- breaded cod (P + syns), new potatoes (F), roast veg and green stuff (S)
    Syns- Fish 11, weekend wine😊

    Hi all,

Gorgeous day here again, went to pick up my Husband's prescription. After being told he had to have his Aspirin on prescription they've now changed their minds so need a trip to the shops to stock up on that again.
Got home to a work email saying we're all getting a one off £1500 bonus, great news for me, unfortunately they neglected to mention in the email its pro-rata so I need to have that conversation with one of my staff next week.

    Food plan for today

B: overnight oats, blueberries and strawberries 1/2 hex b

L: 3 ryvita 1/2 hex b + 1.5 syn. 3 lightest laughing cow triangles hex a beetroot and pickled onions

D: sticky mince and rice - will add peppers, onions and spring onions, might even try and sneak some mushrooms in if my son isn't looking 2 syns.

Son's cricket practice tonight so my Daughter and I will have a walk whilst waiting.

Day 2 - I have been hungry!! Need to eat more but have been mad busy all day.

Breakfast - unsweetened soya yogurt (f), nectarine (s), bio granola (heb)

    Dinner - M&S veg sushi (2), chilli quinoa waves (4.5), tangerine (s)

Snack - coffee with oatly (hea) and 1 sugar (1.5), banana (f)

Tea will be homemade minestrone, all s or f.

Tomorrow we're going to a wedding, no idea what we'll be eating but it's a sit down meal so I'll just have to have a healthy breakfast and watch my drinks.

Then we're camping for 3 nights. Will try my best to stay on plan but won't worry about it too much. Will be walking loads and kayaking so lots more exercise than usual.
