Morning all, where's the sun gone?  It's a bit grey this morning compared with how it's been over the weekend and very breezy so at least it's good to get the bedding dried!  Impressed myself with getting the bed stripped, into the washing machine, washed and hung on the line by 7.30 this morning!

DH has gone off to pick up a golf buggy which be bought from Ebay before the weekend so on my own this morning.  Have watched a couple of episodes of Masterchef which I missed last week while we were away as the TV signal was really bad and the picture just kept breaking up so we ended up just turning the TV off to DH's delight - it's not a programme he particularly likes but puts up with!  There's plenty of programmes I have to put up with so it's only fair he puts up with mine occasionally!

How's your dad @bubbs?  Has he moved into the room at the care home yet?  I'm sure he'll fare better in there than the hospital.

Is your dad still in hospital @ruby_eskimo?  Hope everything is going well for him.

    Right, food today:

    B - bacon sandwich - HEB; P; 3.5
    L - macaroni cheese - HEA2; S; F
    D - steak, new potatoes, onions, mushrooms - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; skinny crunch bar 3

    Have a good day everyone.

Didn't get around to posting yesterday so sorry if I've missed anyone out.

I did read about your gain @Abbafan1972 and remember you said SW made you feel restricted. I can't say I feel that way except for eating out. That's really because restaurants/pubs seem to serve more and more that's deep fried and padded out with bread or pastry. I suppose it's more a moan about wanting to eat healthy as much as SW friendly. If you do decide to go it alone with SW then do ask if you need any syn values.

Will you have to rejoin when you're ready @joedenise? Fortunately I've always managed to scrape into target so can't speak from experience. Your weekend sounded a bit disappointing but I'm sure you'll have a great time in France. Have you booked any sites or just wandering? 🤔

That was a mammoth stint with the burgers and sausages @Longwalker, hope you're not having to do it again today? . I'm sure you enjoyed your cheese sandwich and probably not too synful as cheese could have been your HEA.

Back on track here today, although yesterday was fairly normal too for a weekend. I'm pretty sure I'll go over the syn bank this week but not massively. Then I want another (almost) fortnight on plan before going away. I just snacked on some bits from the fridge for lunch as I had to leave early to go to the hairdresser. She decided to open today as so many of her regular Monday customers have missed out this month. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs, ham (P)
L- cold potato, pork, pear (F,P,S
    D- sausage casserole (P,F,S), penne (F)
    Syns- Aldi sausages 1

As far as I know @maman there will be no need to rejoin - will just have to pay if out of target until I get back into range.  Depending on what the damage is by mid July when I go back it may be worthwhile buying a 6 week countdown!  Really depends how much I put on in France and can manage to shift in the couple of week after!

No plans as to where to go other than that we'll be arriving in Dieppe and will probably end up in Brittany and just wander around.

Have been putting our clothes into the motorhome that we want to take away so that they don't get worn again before the off on Thursday!

I agree with you about SW not being in the least be restrictive and the biggest problem when eating out where there is so much fried stuff or encase in pastry and very little in the way of Speed veg!  It's more often peas if there are any veg at all!

I've got my hairdressing coming first thing tomorrow morning, after which I'm going to need to go and pick up my new glasses and do a bit of shopping.  My friend's glasses are also ready to collect so we'll go together.  Will be glad to get some eggs as really fancy scrambled eggs now after reading your plan for today!

    Hi all,

Have a fab time in France @joedenise

Had our first day in Thorpe Park, its been okay, my Husband and I don't really do the big rides just the two water rides for us today. Its not a huge park so steps are lower than anticipated. One ride made my Daughter's ear piercing bleed and the ride was a little too rough so they called it a day around 4.

I've joined the modern world and ordered our first ever just eat et al take away. I've also resisted some rather delicious looking doughnuts.

    Food for today:

B: overnight oats 1/2 hex b blueberries and strawberries

    L: 3 ryvita and 3 lightest laughing cow hex a 1/2 hex b + 1.5syns

D: ordered chicken shashlik (spelling??) Basmati rice, side salad. May have a beer later but suspect we'll just have an early night. No idea on syns but understand this is the lightest option

    Hi all,

Sorry for the radio silence. I did pay at group on Saturday but didn't weigh. Will need to do so next week as away for the following two. The app is already prompting me to weigh which is a bit annoying. DH and I did a load of gardening on Saturday and I was suffering with my back and legs afterwards despite having a really lovely Epsom salts bath.

Sunday saw us staging an intervention with SIL who is anorexic. Unfortunately she is no better and BIL is now deluding himself that feeding her lasagne and weetabix means she will get better, at home with no psych intervention. DH, SIL (DH's sister who is a nurse) and I went round and 2 hours of tense discussion ensued. At one point I told BIL to get his head out of his a**e. She will die if she doesn't get help and he will be accountable for neglect. She is 4st, 11lb. FIL and MIL are going to make contact tomorrow with a view to calling the psych team themselves. I couldn't save my nephew but my god I'm not going down without a fight this time.

    And breathe....

I have almost lost my voice due to stress so have been very kind to myself today and have been cross stitching. DH has been at DS1s fitting a kitchen. Food I had:

    B - granola, strawberries, blueberries, mullerlight vanilla - HEB, S, 0.5
L - crabsticks, 2 mini babybel, lettuce (homegrown!), tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, LTL mayo - P, HEA, S, 0.5
D - roast chicken, SW roasties, steamed greens, steamed broccoli, cauli cheese - syns for cauli cheese ??
    HEA - milk
Syns - alpen light bar, bag of harvest snaps - 7 plus 1 plus cauli cheese

    Welcome back @joedenise x
    Definitely keep posting @Abbafan1972 x
Have a great time at TP @annabanana82 x

    Thanks @maman & @Coxy11

I decided after Thursdays WI that I wasn't going to go to group again.

I know what to do and I will weigh myself once a week, (have decided on a Friday morning).  I feel that I don't really get anything out of going to group anymore. Another lady I know from this group that I met up with on Wednesday just gone, is starting another group with a fresh new consultant and not one that she has been to before.  I only really have the choice of 2 groups round here, the 1 have just left and a Saturday morning one that I have been to previously as well.  The Saturday group is VERY busy and you queue for ages to get weighed.  I previously lost a huge amount of weight at this group and was a member of the social team for a while.  The consultant is nice, but is very ME, ME, ME and image therapy always turns into a conversation about her and as the group is so large, it takes ages to get round everyone, a long time to take out of your Saturday morning when you work full time and have a busy weekend. Just weighing and going seems pointless to me.

I will keep posting a much as I can.

    Speak soon. xx

@Coxy11 - do hope your BIL gets his head out of his a**e and your SIL gets the help she so obviously needs.  It's a very difficult situation.  It's one we went through with my SIL many years ago but fortunately she didn't get as low in weight as your SIL - I think about 6 stone but they were threatening her with hospital but she was adamant she wasn't going in as she'd recently had twins so I can understand why she wanted to lose weight - she just didn't know when to stop.

It really depends how you make your cheese sauce as to number of syns in your cauliflower cheese but you can at least use one of your HEAs to reduce the number!

Feel free to ask for syns on here @Abbafan1972 - there's usually someone around to help as you know.  Good luck with going it alone.
