Have a fab holiday @joedeniseMy late WI today, still expecting a gain but hopefully will not be as big as earlier it would have been Monday! Really went a little OTT this last week or so. But really no idea of the damage as I've been running too - will post back later!Taking my youngest out for a few hours later, a localish attraction which we've never been to before, it's a cave and view point so looking forward to that. Looks to be a lovely coffee shop there too.
My eldest heads back to uni tomorrow so thinking we may have Chinese takeaway tonight?? Happy that'll be within syns.
Hopefully the weather will be good Saturday and I'll be able to do parkrun this week and see if my few runs have made any difference! Just need to work at least one run a week into my work schedule going forward!!
Hope you all have a great dayMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Morning all. Hope you have a fab holiday @joedenise.
Hope the weather eases up a bit @Coxy11 - your sister definitely doesn't look impressed in that pic!
Dad was in an out in a few hours yesterday - they ended up draining almost a litre of fluid out of the cyst and now we wait for the specialist appointment on Monday. Had dinner with the folks (salmon stir fry) and then made it home about 10pm last night. One of the positives out of this situation is that my dad has to eat a very low fat diet at the moment so my mum is back in her SW mindset after a couple of years of eating anything due to pandemic stress.
My own house is an absolute tip and lots of stuff happening at work so feeling a little bit all over the place. But have managed to salvage some kind of meal plan for today: breakfast was weetabix and a couple of kiwi fruit, lunch is a chicken salad and dinner is going to be a mushroom risotto with a salad on the side. Might even try and head out for a run this evening (you've inspired me @annabanana82!)

@ruby_eskimo glad to have inspired someone - I don't particularly like running but I love the achievement of actually being able to run if that makes sense??Well I was pleasantly surprised to have lost 1lb - do the scales jump for anyone else? Initially showed 2.5lb then just 1lb off!!But really pleased with the loss and have the motivation to take me through to Monday! Had a rare and unexpected TOTM this morning which explains the erratic sugar cravings and emotional outbursts over the last week!Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Please May I join this lovely thread?Long time with SW, joined in 2017….lost 2st 7Ibs and then put a lot on again….we all know how it goes!!
I’m back at that now so not long until my target…..I’m determined!
For the next two weeks SW classes are collecting clothes for Cancer Research.
Our consultant has told us that for each bin bag Cancer Research expect to raise £25.
If anyone is considering a sort out maybe this would be a good opportunity?1 -
Welcome @cashlink to the thread. Everyone is welcome whether going to group or going it alone.
SW do the clothes throw for Cancer Research every year. It's a great way to get rid of the clothes that have become too big for you as you lose weight. If you're a tax payer make sure to give your details to the consultant so that they can claim the tax back on what you donate. My old consultant use to add the details of any tax payer to each of the bags to help raise extra funds.

Welcome to the newbies to the thread, it's a lovely supportive place. And well done to all the losers 😊
Have a fantastic holiday @joedenise. It was lovely you and @maman could meet up!
Hope you are success at the company shop @bubbs I've given up on mine - it's quite a distance away so once you factor in the petrol costs and not getting many bargains (for me anyway) it's not really worth it. I'll keep scouring our local supermarkets instead 🤣
Today's food:
B - toast (HEB), banana
L - tomato and red pepper soup, fruit
D - meatballs with spaghetti, parmesan (HEXA)

Well done on your loss @annabanana82. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 And yes, the scales often hover. It can be either way as sometimes it's way up before they settle down.
Welcome @cashlink. It's so easy to slip back into old habits but we know that SW works. Sounds like you'll be back at target very soon. 👍🏼
I went to WI this morning and also lost 1lb. 😁 This means I'm just 1lb over target and well within range. I find the way to stay at target @cashlink is to make sure you get back on plan as soon as possible after you've strayed away with meals out, holidays etc.
I think one thing that's helped me recently is that I'm not as keen to eat out as I used to be. It's now costing £70+ locally for 2 courses and some drinks for a couple. I don't resent the money so much but the quality of food and service isn't that good either. We have some super meals at home with SW and healthier too! 😊
I'm lucky @Jellybaby that our Company Shop is only a couple of miles away from home so nothing much lost if there are no bargains. I never manage to get anything like the bargains @bubbs gets though. Perhaps it's because she goes really early in the morning or maybe different parts of the country have more stock. 🤔
Glad your dad's procedure didn't take too long @ruby_eskimo. You're doing really well to find suitable things to eat and good news that your mum is back to healthier eating.
I'm going to batch cook some brown rice later as I used the last pouch from the freezer yesterday.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- 2 fried eggs (P), vegetable hash (F,S), pickles (S)
D- liver (P), mash, LO gravy (F), many vegetables (S)

Hi everyone
This new thread is perfect for my new start after Easter. I feel so sluggish after eating less perfect than usual thanks to chocolate easter eggs, wine and non SW food, however it was all lovely and I don't regret a thing. It has resulted in my first gain though - amazed that it was only 0.5lb. Back on my first SW attempt I could gain 3lbs just by thinking about chocolate 😄
Welcome to the newcomers, this thread is great for motivation, advice and everything else in between. Well done those who managed to lose weight this week, hope to be joining you all with a lighter number next week.
