Still no rain here but it's extremely humid but have had to shut the door because of the flying things that have started coming in!
Sounds like a nice lunch out @beanielou even if the ice cream sundae was a few syns! No doubt you can pull it back through the week.

I'm sure you will - you're not going to put on 5-6lb just because you had a roast and ice cream sundae for your Sunday lunch!

That's right @beanielou and it may not catch up with you by tomorrow anyway. You'll soon rein it back. I know you and your wee losses! 🤣
I'd been thinking it's time for a new thread but as the summer seems to be extended perhaps wait until the end of the month. It seems crazy to have a winter theme when we're sweltering here. 🥵0 -
Morning all, definitely much cooler this morning but it was still really warm and humid last night which made sleep difficult.
I was thinking the same about a new thread - I think we usually start one at the beginning of September but as you say @maman it's a bit warm at the moment to be thinking about a winter themed thread!
Had a lovely afternoon with DD2 and her partner yesterday and I managed to offload a couple of bags of tomatoes! So that's quite a few I don't have to deal with. Haven't really got the freezer space to keep putting bags of tomato sauce or passatta in them. I still have 3 large beef tomatoes with more on the plants that are still green; a punnet of cherry tomatoes and about 10 salad tomatoes. Can't believe how many tomatoes my 3 plants have produced and are still producing!
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
L - seafood salad - P; S; F
D - Thai fish curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - coconut milk 1.5
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Been a bit MIA as was in the office Thursday for a "summer social" at work - enforced fun isn't my thing but this wasn't too bad as we trundled down to Hyde Park, managed to find some shade and had a little picnic. Then had a wedding to go to on Saturday which was lovely if very hot (so thankful for my mini fan that I took with me!) and finally yesterday we went for lunch with the in-laws to celebrate MiL's upcoming wedding, SiL's engagement and a few birthdays too.
Star week has finally gone so I can report a 1.5lb loss this week from that and now back to where I was when we came back from the cruise. Going to aim for a workout after work today and then a walk outside when it's a bit cooler. Had a couple of boiled eggs on toast for breakfast with some plums on the side, lunch is a picky salad plate and dinner is a stir fry as I don't want to be cooking in this humidity.

Well done on your loss @ruby_eskimo. 👏👏👏 Good luck with your exercise this evening. It's pleasantly cooler here, thank goodness. I like the heat but not as humid as last week.
It seems picky plates are all the rage at the moment!😁 DH often has one for lunch but his always seem to involve crackers and cakes. 🤣
I've been to the hairdresser today. It's the first time since June so much needed. I called into Home Bargains on the way back and large jars of beetroot were 89p so I stocked up. 😋
Well done on finding a good home for the surplus tomatoes @joedenise. I'm sure they taste better than shop bought.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham(P), fried veg and pickles (S), 2 potatoes (F)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), green beans, roast cauliflower, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
Syns - 00 -
Well done on your weight loss @ruby_eskimo. I'm sure the exercise will be much easier this evening now the temperatures have come down quite a bit.
They definitely taste much better than shop bought tomatoes @maman! I've still got 5 boxes in the fridge plus some on the window sill which are almost there but fell off when picking ones next to them and there are a load more on the plants which are almost ready - probably will be in the next day or two but as rain is forecast tomorrow I don't think I'll be picking any!
Thanks for the heads up about beetroot in Home Bargains, hopefully they'll still have them next week when I go in that direction! We have B&M on the Island so might have a look in there tomorrow as need to go shopping again although the list isn't that long but definitely going to need some more yoghurt as have overnight oats planned this week and only have about half a tub left in the fridge.0 -
Afternoon all
Well done Ruby 👏👏
Beanie longs you enjoyed it .
Well we went opticians and was in there hr and half!! When they take the picture of your eye and tell you to look at the green dot, dh said i can't even see the green dot ! Anyway the optician then called him in and showed his his photos, the right eye you could see all the eye, the left eye was just a black blob, so then he had to have drops put in and wait and she wanted to check nothing else was going on.
His cataract lens has completely clouded over, she said it usually happens within 5 yrs if it's going to happen and gradually, he said no he just started Saturday and he always says if something is affecting him so i believe him. He has now got to wait for laser treatment , might move my bed up the hospital 🤣🤣
