Eye's doing brilliantly @bubbs, thanks.  I just need to enlarge the typeface on the laptop to read now as my reading glasses are completely useless now as the prescription has changed so much!  I haven't got an appointment until 24 October as my preferred optician is on holiday until that week!  Lucky man.

Oh thats good pleased to hear it, we spent a fortune on glasses for hubby because he couldn't manage inbetween having both done so had to have then and than again when other eye was done 🙄

    Evening all from Warrington!

We have made good progress on our walk but could have done without the heatwave! Miles walked 18, 18, 14.5, 16 and 13. Food is a pastry for breakfast then something decent for lunch (options have been quiche with salad/superfood rainbow salad with grilled chicken) but yesterday only had half a flapjack and half a small tub of Pringles. We have been buying a meal deal for the evening - I’ve been getting a pasta pot/fruit pot/water to carry with me.

Well done on the losses @SingleSue and son and glad your eye op went okay @joedenise

Back home Saturday night for my birthday on Sunday. DH is booking a pub for lunch - will need to be extra good next week!

Thanks to those who have donated and who are following on FB - means so much ❤️❤️

Middle son picked up his 6 stone award today.
    Well done to you both.
Good news also on your NSV.

    Morning all,

Love reading about your adventures @Coxy11 very amusing, you should write a book!

WFH again today but I'm getting out tomorrow - all day team meeting oh joy 🤣

I did a lot of thinking last night. I need to focus on planning, tackle the areas causing stress, look at solutions or better coping mechanisms and, actually put myself first now and then. I'm worth it!  All sounds so easy when you write it!

    Today's food:
    B - toast (HEB), jam 2 syns
L - veggie omelette with beetroot
D - haddock, chips, salad 7 syns for breadcrumbs and tartare sauce

Afternoon already and I haven't done much other than taking some stuff to the tip and picking up some fruit.

You're doing really well @Coxy11 - that's a lot of miles to be walking in this heat but probably better than walking in pouring rain!

Agree about things sounding easy when you write them down @Jellybaby but definitely much harder to do.

Today's food has had to change from when I'd originally planned mainly because of DH deciding he didn't want pulled pork in BBQ sauce!  So today's it"s

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - creamy garlic mushrooms, toast - HEB; S; 6 (used Aldi whipped cream cheese rather than my usual Primula Light as got it in a TGTG bag)
D - pork steaks, chips, beans - P; F (thought about adding mushrooms but don't really want them at every meal today!)

    HEA - milki
    HEB - bread
    Syns - cream cheese 6; 0% G&T 0.5

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather while its lasts!

Glad that's out of the way @bubbs, sounds really painful but really hope it helps. 😊

Shame it was synful cream cheese in the bag @joedenise but at least you didn't have to pay for it. I bought some Primula the other day. It's got really expensive but it does last. I never see offers on it any more either. ☹️

Well done @Coxy11. Great to hear from you. It must be a killer walking in the heat but all in a good cause. 👍

You definitely need a plan for when you stop work @Jellybaby otherwise you'll be just running about after your parents. Any ideas what you'd like to do? 🤔

I enjoyed my meal last night. I'd call it a 'could have been worse' choice. I had prawn cocktail followed by pork with mash and veg. Pork was delicious including the crackling! 🤣 Also had some wine syns.

Back on plan today. I also went out with our walking group. We had a lovely route, shaded by trees, so not too hot.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
    L- Spanish omelette (P, S, F), salad (S)
    D- liver (P), mash, LO gravy (F), veg (S)
    Syns - 0
