I can see the ham is price matched to the one I usually buy from Aldi @bubbs. Last week I bought the ham trimmings and they were delicious but don't keep well when opened.

You're so right about the silly prices. It's especially tough for you @beanielou as I don't think you have the choice of nearby shops we have. We have Waitrose own brand baked beans. I could buy them cheaper in Aldi but we like them so bulk buy (4 for £1.90).

    Evening everyone
Agreed- the price of shopping is crazy! We went to Aldi today and I paid for both of our shopping (I don’t usually do it but there was an issue with the payment system for OH’s credit card and he couldn’t pay it, so I used my debit card instead) £93 it came to and it was roughly equal what we spent (I did a very detailed list) so about £46.50, then I spent another £20 in Tesco and £7 in Costco on tomatoes and peaches (but to be fair that’s really good value. The tomatoes are a huge box, and I eat them all, and the peaches are a box of 8 which again I eat over the week. And they’re massive and really juicy too. But the fridge and cupboards are full and some exciting recipes planned for this coming week.
    Today’s menu:
B: Heinz NAS beans on HEXB toast topped with rocket and HEXA 1 cheese. Decaf coffee with 150ml of HEXA 2 milk and a tbsp of Sweet Freedom raspberry syrup. HiFi bar (total syns 9- I also measured a tbsp of spread)
L: 5 x Heck Sweet Chilli Chicken sausages (2.5) brown rice (2.5) veg
D- chicken fajitas- (from the website. No tortilla for me so free but OH had two- I just had the chicken and the peppers etc) chips, salad. Gin and diet lemonade
S: Decaf coffee with 100ml HEXA plus 50ml (1.5) and 2 x tsps Sweet Freedom syrup (1) Bag of Ringos (3) flat peach
    Syns: 19.5

    Night all xx

    That's an excellent result @bubbs!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Now you know what to do if you want a loss, Percy Pigs or a carvery! 🤣

That is a massive bill @MrsRyan, even for Aldi. My Aldi bill yesterday came to about half that but it was really only for fresh bits and pieces like fruit, veg, eggs, cheese, milk and a few bits for the food bank etc, absolutely no meat or fish as fortunately I have plenty in the freezer.

I'm making the salmon linguine for dinner tonight. I did actually buy linguine as I noticed it in Sainsbury's price matched with Aldi (very odd as I've never seen any in Aldi🤔). I'm pretty confident that I'll enjoy it. 🤞🏼 DH likes it too.

Very cross with myself for picking up light mayonnaise instead of LTL. What a waste of syns. I'm psyching myself up to bin it. 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, ham, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
    L- JP (F), prawn cocktail (P), salad bits (S)
    D- salmon linguine (P,F,S)
Syns- light mayo 4☹ weekend wine😁

Thanks Maman but the only thing was the yorkshire and spoonful of gravy, didn't have any other syns.

    Food today

ham, cheese spread, half hexa, leaves egg wraps

Pitta pizza hexb, hexa, salad and BNS chips.

Don't bin it Maman, not like it's 5 syns a tbsp! you don't have it every day.

Very quiet here today, hope everyone is ok

    Afternoon

I would agree with bubbs, @maman. That would be an awful waste. We’re very rarely able to get LTL mayo in our Aldi. Just be sparing with it.

Our Aldi bill is so big as I buy everything fresh- fish, meat etc. I’m not able to freeze anything fresh (mixture of lack of space and my routine/sensory issues) I eat a lot of fresh fish and chicken and that stuff is expensive!

Today has felt like a bit of a waste of a day. I’ve just lay on the sofa and read my book. I had to go to the shop to collect a parcel and I was going to do a walking workout when I got back, but I used all my energy trying on this corset that was in said parcel 😂I’m going to try and be a bit more active tomorrow.

    Todays menu:
B: Smoked salmon, scrambled egg and rocket on HEXB whole meal roll. Flat peach. Decaf coffee with HEXA 1 and 2 x tsps SF raspberry syrup (5 syns for syrup and spread)
L: Ham and cheese (HEXA 2) salad with couscous (0.5) strawberries with 2 tbsps Orange Choc Shot (4) Orange gin and diet lemo while watching the rugby (heaven knows I need it 🙄😂)
D- Keema curry with rice (2.5) and salad
S: Pkt Cheese and Onion Ringos (3) Coconut bliss bar (4)
    Syns: 19

    lots of love xx
