I had a day totally off plan yesterday.
My mum arrived with sandwiches, shortbread & cheesecake.
    There is no hope!
I am hoping to have no more syns until the weekend.

🤞🏼 that your scales are telling the truth @joedenise.😊

That salmon 'linguine' sounds delicious @MrsRyan.😋 It's just the sort of dish I'd order in an Italian restaurant. They didn't have any magazines left at my group last week, would you post the recipe please?

Hope it's all systems go for your holiday @ruby_eskimo.🤗

Safe journey to your dad @Coxy11.😊

Yesterday went really well. The woodland setting was delightful. After the ceremony, they served tiny (50p size) canapes and I just ate 2. As there wasn't the constant turnover they have in crematoria, we were able to spill out into the sunshine and take our time talking to people. All was fine until we got home and had decided we were going to toast our friend with his favourite G&T. That led to more drinks and then nibbles. No matter though, it was worth it. 😊

This week is a bit of a right off as far as SW is concerned. I'm on plan today but still got a few events planned until I can get back to SW properly for a stretch although I'm having SW meals whenever I can.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs, ham (P), HEA1 milk for drinks
    L- JP (F), cottage cheese & spring onions (P,S), beetroot (S)
D- cottage pie (P,F,S,HEA2 cheese topping), broccoli, carrots, cabbages (S),
    Syns- 0

That sounds lovely @maman and agree with @beanielou a great way to send off your friend.

Unfortunately my scales lied!  I hadn't lost anything - it was STS again.  It's getting frustrating not getting back into target range.  It's not going to be easy this week either as we're meeting up with boozy friends and will probably  be eating out both days as well!  It doesn't bode well for a loss but I'm going to try and stick with gin and zero gin & tonic over the weekend rather than having wine, although that will be difficult with our friends as they always seem to have a "new" wine we "must try!"  Going to try and avoid that though.

    Afternoon all.

That dinner looks great @Mrs_Ryan - you're giving @bubbs a run for her money with the food pics.  I'd also appreciate the recipe please if you have time to post it.

Hope your dad gets home ok @Coxy11

Hope your back is feeling better @bubbs

I've also got washing on the line for the first time in a while @joedenise!  Could get used to this!

Well I managed to tick off a big work project a day early @maman so yes definitely on track for holiday.  Sounds like a lovely way to celebrate your friend's life.  That's kind of what our cruise is for - DH wanted to do something to honour his godfather's passing (and his godmother too as they both left him a good chunk of money).  They owned a travel agency many years ago so the idea of taking a trip came from there and his godfather had a fear of flying so anything we did would have to involve a boat (side note: the man went to Australia 3 times BY BOAT 🤯)  DH always talks about this holiday he took with them as a kid where they rented a narrow boat in Norfolk and how he wants to take me on the same trip.  So that's what I thought he had in mind but the next thing I know he's booked this cruise 🤣  We've got a special dinner booked for our last night and will be making a few toasts to P & B that evening 🥂

Was going to go for a run this morning but didn't sleep well so prioritised staying in bed instead.  Will go for a walk after work though.  In the spirit of trying to use stuff up I had 2 Linda M sausages, a poached egg and tomatoes for breakfast, lunch was a wholemeal roll with tuna and cucumber and dinner tonight is a chicken paella style rice bake with lots of veggies in there.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi all, every time I take a holiday a parent falls ill! Mum’s turn this time, you really couldn’t write this. Thankfully brother is here and he’s great and we’ve been sharing the running around but no sign of our other sibling 😳

Anyway, SW has gone right out the window. It’s at the back of my mind but that’s as far as it’s got! We’ve had wine most nights whilst coming up with support plan ideas. Much needed as parents are not for any suggestions 🙈

Need to catch up with posts but hope everyone is well. I saw a post @beanielou had a good loss? Can I come stay with you please 😁
